I can't effin wait for this. I just hope I'm in a good mood when I get home after the game.

The first thing I'll do when I get home is read this thread before I check my email or anything else.

I live for today.

Come on, boys, do not let me down today.

If the Ravens can hold Houston to less than 100 on the ground, they will win the game, no doubt in my mind. If they can't, then Joe will have to have a super game.

The crowd noise will be incredibly loud so look for some mistakes early on by the rookie QB. Mistakes will only make the crowd louder. He has never been in this type of hostile atmosphere before.

The Ravens have solid playoff experience, Houston none.

I think the overwhelming difference will be EXPERIENCE and the HOME FIELD advantage.

Final score Baltimore 24-13

having watched yates qb all through his college career at unc i have to believe that he will perform poorly in the spotlight and under the pressure of today's game. yates is simply not ready for prime time. i predict at least three turnovers today from him, more than enough to turn the tide.

Exactly. Baltimore is a tough place to play for the seasoned vet, much less a rookie QB.

So much depends on their running game and the Ravens are one of the best at stopping the run.

If he's faced with 3rd and long situations, along with all the crowd noise, he's going to be a sitting duck and will be taking some hard hits.

The Weather Channel is predicting a clear, sunny day, but it will certainly be a cold one for the visiting Texans. The forecast for the 1 p.m. ET kickoff is 34 degrees and sunny with no cloud cover and only a 10 percent chance of precipitation. There's a mild amount of wind forecasted (12 mph by NNW), creating a wind chill "feels like" temp of 26 degrees.

The Texans, a dome team, will travel outside for the seventh time this season, and are 5-1 in outdoor facilities this season. That only loss? To the Ravens in Baltimore, in October. The coldest game the Texans have played this year was a comeback win at Cincinnati on December 11 (game time temperature was 29 degrees, with 1 mph winds).

Broadcast veterans Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf will be in the booth for Sunday's divisional round match up between the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens. Kick off for the game is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET and will be televised on CBS.

That potentially isn't a good thing for the Texans as they are 4-7 lifetime in games with Gumbel and Dierdorf behind the mic and 2-2 this season. The duo called Texans' wins over the Colts and Steelers and losses to the Ravens and Saints already this season.

Dierdorf even goes a step further when asked about the matchup and doesn't give the Texans much of a chance against the Ravens.

"Congratulations to the Texans for making the playoffs for the first time ever and winning a playoff game, but they are in for a rude awakening," he said in remarks released by CBS. "It is one thing to beat Cincinnati at home and quite another to go to Baltimore and play a rested, extremely balanced football team.

Some of you may not have seen this but this is how QB's with 3 years or less experience perform at M&T. There are some big names there and look at the QB rating.

From another forum
