I've been talking with my friend in Houston and have seen the coverage of the power outage they're dealing with down there. Sucks.

What is boggling the mind is the attacks on renewable energy as the culprit. I was on a conference call with a woman that lives in Austin and she said the reason for the crisis is "the frozen windmills". WTF? In the land of "black gold" and "Texas tea", you're going to tell me the main reason for the state's power grid failure is the.......windmills?

This is the exact nonsense I'm talking about. There is no Green New Deal and renewal energy is responsible for a fraction of their energy but somehow, AOC and the renewable energy providers are being blamed. This is like blaming your inability to pay the mortgage on your son's paper route income dip.

I'm sure a lot of people are buying this line of BS, but come one. Really?

We're really finding out how shitty the Texas infrastructure is. It should be a lesson for everyone. At some point, you need tax money to fix shit. You can't blame "windmills" when they aren't properly maintained, and they provide a fraction of the power.

How hard would it be to get up in front of the state (as a leader) and admit that you learned a powerful lesson about the energy infrastructure and that changes will be made and improvements implemented to keep this from ever happening again.
