You know what gets me.

We have a rivalry with UT... but they feel like they would have to get off their pedestal for it to be a big game.

I didn't call the victory today, but I rooted like hell. The best part were the two poor UT bastards that came to watch the game over here.

Same two bastards didn't even bring any beer.

Well, here's to beating the man. Your still a helluva capper Hellah. Go beat the man.

We have a rivalry with UT

I hope that was a joke. You're rivalry has been with the ags, not us.

And to all of you dumbfuhks that blame Chris for Texas losing, it was the defense that cost us the game, plain and simple. Chris didn't make Kliff look like a heisman winner.

Some of you same losers that show up here weekly bitching about how Texas lost you money seem to continuously keep betting on them. Here's an idea: bet on another team.

Congrats to Tech backers and fans.

STFU Hellah! Just because you played em and lost, you dont have to be a sore loser! Who the hell are the Rockets anyway?!?!?!?! Some Div III wannabe team?

year after year after year all I hear about early in the season is "Texas has #1 recruiting class in the nation" and "Hiesman this and hiesman that" and "This year we beat Oklahoma" and "This year we win the title"

Iam not that mad because despite this loss...I juiced out thanks to my other plays...Iam just saying you guys have the best athletes in the nation and dont have a clue on what do to with them....

Start winning for a change...

and yes...Toledo Rockets is a Division 3 school...no in fact we are part of the NJCAA

OKLAHOMA OKLAHOMA OKLAHOMA, LOL!! Simms did have a good game but once again in a position to win a big game under pressure he he takes the pipe, that consistently done initself shows lack of mental toughness, inability to perform under pressure is not a highly regarded quality of a hesiman or nfl quarterback. Another Tony Eason, Jeff George, Rob Johnson etc. all the tools none of the heart or guts under pressure. Coaching staff should be ashamed of the way they prepped the D, obviously had plenty of film on Tech and game plan stopped noone. Like you said Congrats to tech they won, they deserved to win, they walked it liked they talked it.

The sad thing is..........I actually bought into the Texas BS

Hellah that is understandable. Texas spends more time hyping themselves than game planning and utilizing their talent. Put a good coach and QB in there and Texas would compete for NC's every year. While Chrissy didn't lose the game for UT, as I agree the pourous "defense" (or what was that actually?) served up the Tech offensive numbers, but once again, with the game on the line, Chrissy throws the decided PICK to have Monk and the UT faithful throwing in the towel and booking their plane tickets to the Humantarian Bowl. Monk, I hear Boise is nice in December.

Now I don't see who it was that said Tech's rival is Texas, but that is a rediculous statement. Texas Tech is no legitimate rival for Texas, but every dog has its day, and Tech had their day today. Perhaps UT just thought they could show up.

Texas Tech is no legitimate rival for Texas, but every dog has its day

2002 TX Tech 42 Texas 38
2001 TX Tech 7 Texas 42
2000 Texas 29 TX Tech 17
1999 TX Tech 7 Texas 58
1998 Texas 35 TX Tech 42
1997 TX Tech 24 Texas 10

Even split the last 6 years. I'm know Texas holds the overall advantage, with most coming a long time ago. Didn't look for years ealier than this, but as I recall the wins were fairly evenly split while I was going to Tech in the late 80's.

I won't argue that UT's never considered us a rivalry, and I bet if you asked most of UT fans they would think Texas has dominated us the last 10-15 years. The fact is they haven't.

Fine with me, if Texas always over looks us. We'll just keeping winning about half the games............

Your a class act Hellah. I'm a Tech man and rooted, but Texas has the better team. That's my point Monk, you guys respect no one. There is no one in YOUR league. As a fan of a team that is trying to get recognition, I truly thought that we had a chance against Ohio St, NC ST, Colorado, and Iowa ST. They have proved me wrong time and time again. I've realized that we're not a powerhouse, but we play hard.

Funk it,

I'm tired of erasing stuff over and over.

There's a celebration drunking going on. Monk, Hellah, great cappers and I'll continue to learn stuff from reading y'alls writeups.

Till next week, when me and Shiner do it again.

Red Raider,

I think I should have phrased my comment a little better. I should have said UT doesn't consider Tech a legitimate rival. My apologies to you and your team. Yes, Tech didn't get too many wins vs UT with Spike Dikes at the helm, but he did get some.

Congrats to Tech on the win!

UT will say Oklahoma is their primary rival. Then, once they get beaten by OU, they will then say A&M is their primary rival. I earnestly hope this loss to Tech will temporarily halt the conveyor belts that consist the constant Texas hype machine.

And then some moron will still post that UT has a chance to win the NC this year. You watch!

Felonious Monk, send us a postcard from the Bluebonnet Bowl will ya? Oh yeah, that bowl has been discontinued. Looks like your overrated Steers will have to wait another year to win its own conference. Put on your pants, Texas, and THEN your shoes. Win your conference, Texas, and THEN start the hype.

Josh, what are you talking about? Before Mack arrived, we were getting beat by the Baylor's of the world. What makes you think we didn't have any respect for Tech?

but once again, with the game on the line, Chrissy throws the decided PICK to have Monk and the UT faithful throwing in the towel
"With the game on the line" did he not hit BJ with a strike in clutch time against KState?

Did he not make every play he needed to in "clutch time" vs. Nebraska?

Did he not throw a beautiful strike to BJ for a TD on the throw previous to the INT yesterday? Tell me how that pass was thrown under any different conditions? Down by 4, 4th quarter, right? Oh wait, it was slightly different conditions - Chris had just thrown a dart to BJ that was called back due to illegal substitution, he was backed up to his own 16, and the Tech fans were making a shitload of noise. With all that going on, he throws a pass that none of you dildos could throw if you had 100 attempts.

Yeah, he can't handle pressure.

I don't even know why I continue to respond to you but the pick was due to our WR getting knocked off his route. I thought that was pretty obvious after they showed the replay 10 times.

Texas Tech is a timing offense, and we did NOTHING to disrupt the timing. We put no pressure on Kliff and as a result he ate us alive.

Some of you people who get on here to dedicate threads to rip Texas and it's players, don't have a fuhking clue. I swear, it's a mystery to me how some of you are able to use a computer.

Was that the same Texas team that everyone says would crush Ohio State? Here's an idea: Try beating Texas Tech first. Ohio State beat Texas Tech 45-21 this year. In that game Texas Tech scored 14 pts in the 4th quarter when the game was a rout against Ohio State's 3rd string. In fact, T Tech's last TD came with 12 seconds left to make the score look even somewhat respectable. Ohio State registered 7 sacks and a pick vs Klingsbury. Yesterday, Texas Tech scored 42 pts on what some argued was one of the top defenses in the country. Well Texas managed to record 2 sacks and give up over 600 yds of offense to mighty Texas Tech. Maybe Simms isn't overrated but that Texas defense sure is. Talk about cream puffs. Well, back to a 12:00 Jan 1 Bowl game for Texas. Maybe they will play Michigan as the #3 rep from the Big 10.
