Believe me when I tell you Monk, I might have been a tad bit inebriated last night. Rivalry is not the right word, excited is. UT gets excited about playing OU. UT gets excited about playing A&M. Maybe throw some of the north in as well, NEB, CU, K ST. Tech was excited about playing UT yesterday. My buddies were already talking about A&M and how terrible they are, but since they would have a chance to hand UT their second loss to end the season, that they would need to take that game seriously.
Subjectively, I thought it was great game. Tech had to play above their caliber to stay in this game, especially our run defense. No one was more shocked than I was, that Cedric didn't have 150+ on the ground. If BJ doesn't get bumped then he probably runs by Aycock to the house. UT should be more disapointed about not having any timeouts left or not giving Selvin more carries.
Alright Monk, here's the deal. Beating UT was big to us. No we're still not at UT's caliber, but it was big. We will continue to think of it as a big win until next year when you beat us by 60 again. We will think of that as a big loss.
Here's my question Monk, who do you root for next week.
OU or Tech?
