Been looking at this game for awhile now.

I have come to the conclusion that I do not believe that Colt McCoy and Texas can sustain the kind of numbers they have over the past 3 weeks.

I cannot bring my self to eat -440 chalk on a Texas moneyline.

Old rivalry game. Both teams undefeated and playing for #1 ranking.

Zac Robinson is not Chase Daniels.

Zac has guts and Okie St has a running game combined with strong passing game. This will be the game where Texas secondary gets them in trouble. Texas cannot key on the passing game like they did with Missouri. I believe this will be a close game.

If Texas beats Oklahoma St by over 2 touchdowns in this game, they are going to the National Championship and will probably win it.

Go Oklahoma St !

Uhh...no... Texas couldnt care less about Okie State as a "rival." They play each other every year but if you think there is some rivalry angle here you are sorely mistaken.

They have had some interesting comebacks with Texas falling behind, but Texas is 11-1 v Okie State since the Big 12 was formed, 10-0 under Brown, and my best recollection is only 2 of those games (including last years in Stillwater) have been within 2 touchdowns.

Okie State is 5ht in the nation rushing-but Texas-agaisnt far better opponents overall-is 2nd in rushing defense. Okie State will have some success passing but will have to find somebody other than Bryant to do it. They will score some points. Both teams have terrible pass defenses - Okie State will not stop Texas defensively unless McCoy makes serious mistakes. And Texas is 3rd in the country in fewest turnovers.

OKLAHOMA STATE - The Cowboys continue to climb the rankings as they moved to 7-0 with Saturday's 34-6 pasting of Baylor. Dez Bryant grabbed headlines with a career-high 11 catches for 212 yards and two TDs. He accounted for all but 26 of Zac Robinson's 238 passing yards. On the ground, Kendall Hunter carried 26 times for 93 yards. OSU now ranks fourth in the nation in scoring offense (46 ppg) and seventh in total offense (501 ypg). The defense held Baylor to its lowest scoring and yardage output of the season. Baylor was held to just 204 yards of total offense and controlled the ball for only 23 minutes. The Cowboys would really mix up the BCS pecking order if they can find a way to knock off top-ranked Texas on the road this weekend.

And after all that is said, Oklahoma St covers the
14.5 and that is all I care about with this game.

Then you dont need to write up a bunch of bogus bs to make yourself feel better about it. You seemed to think the "rivalry" mattered or you wouldnt have written it.

Maybe they will cover...maybe they wont. I dont have a play on the game. But to make a bet on any team where you feel the need to buy two points is absolute silliness imo. But its your money. Maybe it will be like your Texas Tech pick at Texas a couple years ago that you only missed you about 50 points when you said all the same sorts of things. Maybe it will be like last week. But you sure seem to make a lot of plays on or against a team you clealry know very little about.

Good Luck this week Scott... at least you're learning how to buy points a little better. I was actually surprised you didn't buy Oklahoma State to 17.5 points.

I'll admit when I'm wrong and I was dead wrong about Misery last week. I'm still surprised you would go against Texas as they have covered every game this season and they won you almost 1,200 last week.

just wondering, do you play other games,

Greg,

LOL! I'm sure he'll have a play like Penn State +3.5 with a 6 point buy before the week is done. This is the other huge game this weekend.

However, I have noticed a trend where Scott loves to involve the #1 team in his wagers.

Scott, Sun totally nailed everything about this game. OSU will not be able to run the ball on Texas' defense. I don't have a real strong opinion on the spread on this game, but if I were to bet something I would play the over here.

Where do you get your information about Big 12 football? It isn't very accurate.

How did I know that you would bring that game up. That was one game about 4 years ago.

Your problem is that you think you are the only one in America that knows Texas football.

I used to play many games during football season. Both College and NFL.

I lost my ass for a few years.

Now I just play what I post at madjacks.

Last year it worked out really good for me. Won NFL playoff games and Superbowl etc.

Not sure how it worked out for Sun

He cant even bring himself to wager on Texas :142smilie

The games I looked at this weekend were

Georgia / LSU
Tenn / Ala
Texas Tech / Kansas
Penn St / Ohio St
Florida / Kentucky

I admit I like to wager on high profile games.

I also admit

I smell money and it smells green.

Scott - keep up the good work. Fawk the haters and write the game however you want. If you are winning, that is all that matters. Those midwest guys should listen to us southerners when it comes to capping college football:00hour
