Brandon Pettigrew's Scouting Report
By Matt McGuire

Strengths:

Prototypical size at 6-5, 265, with impressive strength on his frame ... Reliable target who rarely drops passes ... Nice understanding of feeling soft spots in coverage ... Has solid speed and makes things happen after the catch ... Very good blocker who puts a lot of effort into this area ... Uses his hands well in pass protection and run blocking ... Can beat the jam and is physical on the line of scrimmage ... Displays good athleticism on jump balls ... Great overall skill set.

Summary:

I love Pettigrew's abilities as both a receiver and a blocker, and this is really rare. His talent warrants even a mid-first round draft pick, but could he drop with character concerns? Needs to be more productive in his senior season, especially considering the fact he is playing against competition 2-3 years younger than himself.

This guy being back and healthy could be a big differance maker in this game. :00hour

Scotty, you're really reaching with this pic. OSU and Tech have not even played yet and when they do, each will already have at least one loss.

Big 12, baby.
..............................................................

I like to post pics of the guys who will make a differance. Pettigrew is athletic at 265.

I don't think the judge could go prone like that even in his best days.

Go OSU !

On the outside, WR Dez Bryant is fast and shows great body control when tracking the ball downfield. He'll frequently work against CB Ryan Palmer, who injured his hamstring against Oklahoma two weeks ago.

Line drops a full point to +11 1/2 OKU

now -180 to buy to the +14 1/2

I got it at -160 :00hour

So moving early saved me money for all players that think like that and worry about 20 bucks here and there.

Money pours in on OSU covering the number.

Close emotional game . Both teams 7-0 going for #1 ranking in the country.

Lets do this whats we gots to do.

No matter what happened in any previous game the next game is another day and things can happen. Dropped balls, fumbles, tipped balls, ets. I understand why the horns are thinking they will win why wouldn't they but remember the games you have won to this point count for exactly zero points during the next game( usc blows out ohio state, then gets beat by orstate). So to the texas fans that are so sure that there is no way that osu can beat mighy texas think about three things: 1. osu has played texas very well and very close the last three years even though texas had superior talent 2. If texas wins the four game stretch they are on(ou, missou, osu, TT) that will be nothing short of amazing and even though texas has played very well over the entire season odds are they will lay an egg at some point and that might coinside with a great game from whomever they play, hopefully osu 3. The pressure is on the number one ranking a big win against missou a team that really never was in the game, a big game against in state rival TT looming, and a game against a team that all of america is overlooking why shouldn't texas.

1. osu has played texas very well and very close the last three years even though texas had superior talent 2.

2005:
Texas 47
OSU 28

2006:
Texas 36
OSU 10

2007:
Texas 38
OSU 35

If the spread were Texas -12 in each of those games, OSU would manage to cover one time. Not saying OSU won't cover your line today, just pointing out the facts.

I think you're on the right side. I'm just hoping we get the W for obvious reasons. GL

nice to see yu around monk.

Them are not my words , that was from a blog I was on concerning this game.

OSU is a very balanced team.

I like their chances today of covering.

Doubt if they can win though, otherwise I would have played them on the moneyline.

Scott, Sun totally nailed everything about this game.

OSU will not be able to run the ball on Texas' defense.

2. Don't be a homer

3. Reduce the risk

4. Cash the ticket

They have had some interesting comebacks with Texas falling behind, but Texas is 11-1 v Okie State since the Big 12 was formed, 10-0 under Brown, and my best recollection is only 2 of those games (including last years in Stillwater) have been within 2 touchdowns.

Maybe it will be like your Texas Tech pick at Texas a couple years ago that you only missed you about 50 points when you said all the same sorts of things. Maybe it will be like last week. But you sure seem to make a lot of plays on or against a team you clealry know very little about.
..........................................................

Hey Sun

is this a game I wagered on that you will bring up again and again for the next years ?

Somehow I think not :sadwave:
