How did I know that you would bring that game up. Your problem is that you think you are the only only one in America that know Texas football.

when in fact your more full of shit than a christmas turkey

This from the guy 2 weeks ago who said "I didnt realize Colt McCoy was any good when I bet on Oklahama." Hmm...think i won that game...you?

damn Scott I thought you'd be all over

tide -6

I looked at it hard Punch

Big Mount Cody not playing in the middle made me lay off the game. Cody knee injury could affect the outcome.

The second-ranked Crimson Tide look to remain perfect while trying to avoid a third straight road loss to Tennessee when the teams meet in an SEC contest Saturday night:scared

Uhh...no... Texas couldnt care less about Okie State as a "rival." They play each other every year but if you think there is some rivalry angle here you are sorely mistaken.
.................................................................

The angle is that both teams are undefeated. Playing for #1 in the country. If you dont think that matters , then your sadly mistaken.

Geez Louise Sun, I can take you by the hand and walk you to first grade school if you cant make it
by yourself.

Scott - keep up the good work. Fawk the haters and write the game however you want. If you are winning, that is all that matters. Those midwest guys should listen to us southerners when it comes to capping college football:00hour

:mj07:

whats funny is I am not even taking the Okie St Moneyline and they are upset.

They can't bring themselves to lay the 12.5 points though.

They know better

This will be a close game

Scott, Sun totally nailed everything about this game. OSU will not be able to run the ball on Texas' defense. I don't have a real strong opinion on the spread on this game, but if I were to bet something I would play the over here.

Where do you get your information about Big 12 football? It isn't very accurate.
Not piling on by any means but I agree with everything said here. Buying points might be the answer to a winning bet but I wouldn't even think about doing it. I also only see value in an Over bet.

Good luck, Scott.

The Cowboys are also a perfect 7-0 on the season (3-0 in-conference), thanks to last week's 34-6 win over Baylor. Mike Gundy's squad is currently tied with Texas and Texas Tech atop the Big 12 South. However, with Texas playing Texas Tech next week and OSU getting the Red Raiders the week after, a crowded division is certainly up for grabs.

Oklahoma State comes to Austin with one of the nation's premier offenses. The team certainly has the ability to move the chains, with the most productive mode of travel being the ground game. OSU ranks fifth in the nation in rushing at 283.1 yards per game. The passing game isn't far behind at 218.3 yards per game, leading to a hefty scoring average of 46.4 ppg.:00hour

Tailback Kendall Hunter has quietly gone about his business and is one of the nation's top rushers, averaging 136.4 ypg, on 6.3 ypc. He is also responsible for nine of the team's whopping 24 rushing TDs.:0corn

Quarterback Zac Robinson is a perfect fit under center. The talented signal- caller has completed a solid 70.1 percent of his passes thus far, for 1,488 yards, with 14 TDs.:00hour

All-American candidate Dez Bryant downfield. The 6-2 sophomore is coming off a 212-yard performance against Baylor and ranks second nationally with 115.6 yards per game. Bryant has hauled in a hefty 45 passes in the first seven games, for 809 yards, with 11 TDs. Robinson also has tight end Brandon Pettigrew back. A First-Team All-Big 12 selection in 2007, Pettigrew missed time due to injury this year, but can do a lot on the field to help the Cowboys when healthy.

With the type of offensive numbers that OSU has put up, the defense has not had to carry the team. That may change this week, as the Cowboys certainly face their toughest challenge to date. Oklahoma State is allowing 20.6 ppg this season, on 335.9 yards of total offense. Where the team has struggled a bit is in generating a pass rush, with only eight sacks in the first seven games.

The strength of the defense is in the linebacking corps, highlighted by juniors Andre Sexton (team-high 57 tackles) and Orie Lemon (45 tackles).

I like your side on this game... very tough for Texas to get sky high 3 consecutive weeks. I think Texas wins, but doesn't cover this number.

Oklahoma State comes into the game as the No. 5rushing offense in the country, No. 1 in the Big 12 Conference at 283.1 yards per game. Texas is the nation?s second-best rush defense, also tops in the Big 12. But the Horns haven?t faced a back as hot as Kendall Hunter, who hasn?t been held below 90 yards yet this season. And Keith Toston provides the perfect change of pace.

..................................................................

I am feeling good about my chances with this game.

Texas is a good team that has been playing some great football. Texas is not a great team.

The 2005 Texas team was a great team.

Five players from that Texas team were taken on the first day of the NFL draft. It remains to be seen if this Texas team will reach those lofty
achievements.

OSU has the two highest future draft picks on the field Dez Bryant and Pettigrew who is playiing on Saturday. :00hour

Time for some payback !

GO OSU !!!!!!

This is for Sun Tzu's sake as I generally
have to explain my wagers so he can
understand more better

That would be Oklahoma State on top with
the + 14 1/2 points this Saturday.

The Texas Longhorns are on the bottom,
struggling with the pressure to remain
the #1 team in the country .

It seems simple enough.

This game is in the bag

Another thing is Texas has Texas Tech in Lubbock after this game. I know Texas hasn't been in a look ahead game like this week to this point.

Also, the fact McCoy announced he's staying after last week's game against Missouri could affect the young man IMO. Has anyone ever heard of a QB announcing they're going to stay after a big win in the middle of the season?

McCoy might be a late first round pick if he came out this year because the draft is WEAK for QB's IMO.

Oklahoma State offense vs. Texas defense

Oklahoma State runs the ball more than twice as much as it throws, but that lack of balance hasn't made it any easier for opposing defenses to slow the Cowboys down. QB Zac Robinson is making accurate reads when running the option and he's quick enough to do some damage when the defense dictates that he tuck the ball and run. While RB Kendall Hunter is undersized, he's quick and his balance allows him to bounce off arm tackles. Keith Toston has emerged as a capable backup and will spell Hunter at times, and all three run behind an experienced offensive line that plays as a cohesive unit and excels at opening seams. However, a Texas run defense that's giving up an average of just 1.9 yards per carry is versatile and talented enough to slow down this vaunted running game. Defensive coordinator Will Muschamp has run a 3-4 defensive front at times with Brian Orakpo from defensive end to outside linebacker and don't be surprised to see him do it in this game. Playing Orakpo off the line makes it easier for him to read the option and the 260-pounder has done an excellent job of setting the edge when he's lined up at that spot. Though 295-pound DT Roy Miller lacks prototypical bulk for a 3-4 nose tackle he has above-average lower-body strength and can hold his ground when he stays low coming out of his stance.

Robinson has made the most of his limited opportunities to throw downfield, completing 70.1 percent of his passes, and he faces an inexperienced tandem of safeties this week. RS Earl Thomas is a redshirt freshman and LS Blake Gideon is a true freshman and they will likely have trouble with Cowboys TE Brandon Pettigrew, who returned to the lineup last week after missing three games with an ankle injury. At 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds Pettigrew is a reliable target over the middle and is big enough to shield the ball from the smaller Thomas (5-10, 195) and Gideon (6-1, 197). On the outside, WR Dez Bryant is fast and shows great body control when tracking the ball downfield. He'll frequently work against CB Ryan Palmer, who injured his hamstring against Oklahoma two weeks ago. It won't matter how open the receivers are, though, if Robinson doesn't get enough time to locate the open man and space to step into his throws. While LOT Russell Okung is arguably Oklahoma State's best offensive lineman he will have a tough time keeping Orakpo out of the backfield. Orakpo doesn't have many weaknesses as a pass-rusher with his explosiveness off the ball, the speed to turn the corner, the ability to redirect inside after starting outside and much more strength than his size would suggest. The Cowboys can't afford to lose track of SLB Sergio Kindle, either, because Kindle can also line up at either outside linebacker or end and he has good athleticism and above-average closing speed coming off the edge.
