Dr. Freeze, you have to get a grip on things. Everyone who does not think like you is not anti-American. Thoughts like that are exactly what we are supposed to be fighting over there for.
Part of the problem is that everybody goes ahead and wraps themselves up in the flag or behind the President. So if you happen to take a different view on the subject suddenly they say you are against the flag! "How dare you question the President you must be against out troops!"
No I am not against our troops. No, I am not against our flag. I just think the flag stands for my right to question those who represent me.

I know that post wasnt refered to me....

but...

Iam totally against the president, but Iam not against the troops at all. I have many friends and a cousin that are overseas right now. And if my unit gets called up - Ill be over there, so Iam sure I wont be against myself. Yes he is my commander in chief - but how many people actually like their boss?

The troops dont wanna be there either...they are there on the orders given to them. They all said the samething...get in, get out, come home. I hope the troops make him home safely - especially my commrades....

StevieD.....it is great to question everything

but we are seeing an approach with unleashed hatred for the US based on presumptions that are groundless...meanwhile these same people think that Bush is more evil than Hussein who tortures and murders people.....

something is not right with that.....i consider it counterproductive by hindering morale in the military and stirring up even more anti-American sentiment throughout the world which is based on pure envy

Bush has solid men and women surrounding him who have throughout time shown themselves to be honorable....now all of a sudden they are all crooks? and they all have resolve to conquer the world or whatever these wackos believe??

cmon....even LIBERAL professors from Stanford and other places will tell you that Condy Rice is a woman of incredible distinction and honor....and Powell likewise, and any other person who has been associated with these people

most troops DO want to be there...yes they want it to be over but they want to serve the country and have volunteered to sacrifice their lives fro the country and the country's elected president....and the troops and Bush are one and the same right now....as they were with Clinton in Kosovo....you cannot be for one and against the other

well Bush is part of the troops right now....he is the commander and the troops can give up and surrender if they are against the war.....they dont have to fight for America

i guess if you dont like the president you might as well go overthrow him because isn't this America? you are free to do whatever you want aren't you?

or how about the guy who is living in America who is cheering for Iraq? And wants the US troops to all be killed? Is he a true American? Just how far does this freedom to be against America and its leaders extend? Is it right to want someone to kill Bush?

freeze - serve in the military before you say anything about troops being there

you take the little things and make them big things. I dont like Bush....never did...never will. When I was in Knox, I hatted my company commander with a passion - doesnt mean I wanted to kill him. I was against him and we all(my platoon) wanted a new CO - and we ended up getting a new CO.

And where do you go off talking about killing bush??? again....making something small into a huge deal....

give it a rest allready...

If this war was about oil, it would seem to me that the US would go after Venezuela oil. They are a country with plenty of oil, a country in turmoil, & a country relatively closer to the US than going to the other side of the world to fight a battle, only because the un does not have a spine to enforce the resolutions.

I also find it amazing that the people who are against the war seem to distrust the American Gov't more than a ruthless dictator. I wonder what you people think about countries like franc, germany, & even canada positioning themselves to harvest tthe iraqi wealth after saddam falls?

To those who oppose the war, what would you do if you were the president?

no.....how about going out and supporting Bush's death or a victory by Saddam Hussein in an editorial in a paper....that is just speaking ones mind....but is it American?

i think there is a line to be drawn at some point....and when troops are in harms way the criticism stops and we should be united behind everyone

didn't see this kind of outrage when we went into Kosovo....why is it here now?

who's to say whats American...and not American? There`s nothing on paper (like the constitution) that says heres a list of how to be American...do it or be tormented.

Iam gonna use my god given rights as a US Citizen and going to Wendys and buying a a spicy chicken sandwich. then iam gonna use my rights to go to my brothers place to watch some basketball....and prolly have the same argument Iam having with you. Then...I dont knwo what iam gonna do after that....hell I should drive to Chicago and be part of the protest since its my right to do so.

btw - go okie st ;)

StevieD,

You mean to tell me that you believe more what saddam says than the US gov't. Talk about paranoia. I would move out of the country if I did not trust my gov't.

Vegas baby!
c'mon

c'mon

since when is it a crime to question the presidents motives in the US?

it astounds me how the republipukes cant seem to let go of the Clinton years. the greatest economic boom in 200 years, low inflation, low unemployment, and MEANINGFUL DOMESTIC POLICY pale in comparison to the blowjob in the oval office tragedy...lmao.

lets face it, we have an isolationist/paranoid/secretive, war-hawk administraion in the white house. Senator Byrd, who has served with 11 presidents, said he has never seen a less forthcoming and inhospitable group of folks than currently reside in the big house.

cant wait to see how curious george plans on paying for this dabacle.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO ASK THE WORKING POOR IN THIS COUNTRY IF THEY WOULD LIKE TO EAT TOMAHAWK MISSLES FOR DINNER!!

Canadians don't have anything nice to say about us anymore. Canada spends next to none of their tax payer dollars on national defense. It's a good thing their neighbor is a superpower that poses no threat to them and wouldn't let anyone in the world f**k with them. Just be careful, if Americans get pissed off they will quit traveling North and your already weak economy will head into recession.
