excellent post sponge.

was watching Bill Maher on larry king last night and he pretty much echoed what you are saying. McSame's response to the evil question by warren was "Defeat it." Too which he got a thunderous applause from the evangelical audience.

I've got to tell my right wing friends, I am starting to come around to your way of thinking. I, like the current administration have decided to pick and choose which parts of the Constitution I will enforce and which parts I will ignore.

Okay, constitutionalists out there, where is the right to vote? I am convinced that any member of the audience who gave thunderous applause to a candidate who honestly and sincerely responds to a question about evil with the answer "defeat it" should automatically lose the right to vote.

Anyone with me on this?

Sponge, the audience was not fooled. McBush gave them exactly what they want to hear. God talk. We, the good guys, Americans, Christians, wholesome, who do no wrong, will defeat, evil, the bad guys, Muslims, sleezy, arabs, pure and simple. Key word simple. Black and white. Cowboys and indians. Fantasy and reality.

Its, Leave it to Beaver vs. The Crying Game. As long as religion plays a role in the political arena we are going to have nut cases like McCain and Bush. I'm very much looking forward to Maher's movie coming out in October call Religiousity or something like that. There are very few points that he and I disagree on.

Eddie

Forgot all about Maher being on and just watched it. Eddie besides Mahers thoughts on Israel i swear his thoughts are a carbon coPy of mine. I was gonna type a post about Hillary as a Vice president the other day with the exact thoughts Maher had. I didn't want Hillary anywhere near the VP spot but if she is the only one who will strap a set of nuts on and go after these con artist then so be it. Maher didn't say this but who the fuk are these pastors that have this much say in these elections? I have about had it with these religious fukers. Who are these people? What Maher said about this pastor as compared to those other two idiots, Robinson and Fawell i couldn't agree more. The guy at least seemed like a decent fella but who the hell has giving these guys all this power and this type of platform? One thing i like about Maher is how he comes out and say's how stupid of a nation we are. He said the people don't even deserve to be govern. Im glad he brought up the evil comment because when i heard what McCain say, and then those jackasses in the audience all cream their pants, it just makes you want to puke. It is funny that you say you are starting to come around to the way the right thinks. I was thinking the same exact thing today. IM sick of fighting for this useless no balls party. Just not sure if i can live with myself joining a filthy con artist party.

I liked the moral questions where McCain answered
my ex wife is gone gone.

no explanation of why , how , what or when.

Just threw it out there because he knew he was eventually going to be asked about it. He figured if he said something , from now on he could say
Listen thats a personal matter and I already discussed it.

John - What would you do about evil ?

John - defeat it:142smilie

And after I am elected, I will find Bin Laden in less than 3 months.

Well I hope so anyways/  :SIB

Scotty this is why a Republican can flourish in this type of scenario. Just give an answer and not worry about a rebuttal. On top of that stack it with religious jackoffs who somehow have gotten this huge platform in the country when its these jackoffs who gave us Bush twice. Scotty you are fighting harder for the democrats then the Democrats themselves. We desperately need a third party. Or how about two presidents? Let the gullible ones (most come from Texas or Kentucky)have the neocon piece of shit and the rest of us will govern ourselves.

Actually I think its time to do this.

If Obama wins then McCain is his VP

If McCain wins he gets Obama as VP

Maybe it would stop this back and forth get nothing done Congress , washington, politics as usual crap.

America is so sick of the status quo.

Hmm lets see--he lowered taxes of everyone that paid taxes --thats stripping them of wealth?

Guess thats why I'm a half brain--somehow I see higher taxes - as taking out of pocket vs lowering taxes as putting in.

That is provided term is use is working americans that pay taxes--now would have opposite effect on those that pay no taxes but receive benefits paid by those who do--if that was your trend of thought. ;)

I'll try and study harder--and maybe someday be able to comprehend--liberal logic

?I understand Senator McCain was asked yesterday this question: ?how many houses do you own?? And he couldn't answer that question,? Virginia Governor and VP contender Tim Kaine told CNN?s John Roberts in an interview on American Morning. ?He couldn't count high enough to know how many houses he owns.

?We have Americans struggling, with foreclosures skyrocketing in Virginia and elsewhere, gas prices, jobs slowing down and the deficit at a record level. We have to have somebody who can change the direction of this economy. John McCain won't do it, but Barack Obama understands the new economy and he will.?

McCain?s wife Cindy is heir to a beer fortune estimated at roughly $100 million.

When asked about the number of houses he owned in a Politico interview published Thursday, McCain was unable to answer. "I think ? I'll have my staff get to you," he replied. "It's condominiums where ? I'll have them get to you."

The remark comes days after McCain faced criticism from Obama over a weekend remark at Pastor Rick Warren?s faith forum, where the Arizona senator joked that someone would need to earn $5 million a year in the United States to be defined as rich.

The McCain camp later told Politico the Arizona senator and his wife own at least four homes in three states. Other news organizations have reported a higher total.
...............................................................

Seriously , McCain does not know how many houses that his wife owns.

:142smilie :142smilie

Talk about out of touch. And 5 million is being wealthy in the US.

I doubt he hobnobs with anyone that makes under 40 million a year.

Forgive him Scott--they are the half brain idiots--the Ivy League Einstein's were homeless and paying off credit card debt in their 40's.

Reminds me of another Einstein who never made it free market other than politics followed by book royalties.

While the half brain idiots Bush-Cheney-McCain were donating their book royalties to charity.

Reid: 'I can't stand McCain'
Posted: 04:55 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

Reid had some tough words about McCain.
(CNN) ? Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and John McCain have never exactly enjoyed a close relationship, but the Democratic leader was exceedingly blunt Wednesday in his assessment of his colleague from Arizona.:SIB

"I can't stand John McCain,":scared Reid flatly told his hometown paper, the Las Vegas Review Journal in comments published Thursday. The Nevada Democrat also said he had recently expressed that sentiment to Democrat-turned Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman, an ardent supporter of McCain who has agreed to speak at the Republican convention early next month.

"He (Lieberman) said 'I know you feel that way,'" Reid also told the paper.

The top Senate Democrat also said McCain is wrong on a host of issues and "does not have the right temperament" to be commander-in-chief.:scared

McCain, who has long highlighted his willingness to work with Democrats across the aisle, was slightly more gracious towards Reid in an interview with Politico Wednesday detailing his pledge as president to work with congressional Democrats.

"I [will] go to see the speaker of the House and the majority leader of the Senate ? I assume that that would be Sen. Reid, I hope not, but I think that?s probably the reality of this election ? and I would say, 'Let?s have an agenda, let?s work together," he told the publication.
