I'm sure you did. I respect soldiers for sacrificing their willingness to risk their lives but for what? They are flat out being used. Especially today. These bullshit wars are a fucking joke.

Friday night I watched the movie, "The Eagle"
I am not going to go into full detail about the flick, but a quick no shitter on it.
5000 ROMAN INVADERS INTO BRITAIN DISAPPEAR. Fast foward 2o years, the son of the CO becomes an officer and his first command is in Britain. He gets medically discharged, he bitches and moans, blah, blah, blah...
The leader of the 5000 Romans was the standard bearer of an golden eagle which was lost so this officer goes on a quest to get the eagle back.
The invading army is made to look like heroes in this and the the Highlanders in the movie are made out to look like assholes ! They did look like a combo of smurphs and mad max villians, but that's besides the point.
The movie ends with a big battle all the highlanders are killed, rome has conquered ! DUH !
I love my country, I was honored to serve, but some of the things I did, I am not proud of.
my point is,
why is it that the defenders of their land tend to be the assholes?

The poor people are the ones that fill our military ranks. I respect everyone for their service, but they are pawns in a game that they'll never understand. Sorry. TU may not be doing a PC job of explaining his point,but I side with him over most everyone else. Muscle up at home and strike when needed. The fact that we have ground troops in the middle east is a travesty. We should have dropped a nuke after 9/11 and been done with it.
