ole joe biden warned that bock would be tested...

iran has tested another missile in addition to the one they sent to space 3 weeks ago... north korea is about to launch a "satellite" and is now at full battle-readiness, and now this....

after sending that capitulation letter to putin about the missile defense issue, looks like the u.s. is getting lots of little pokes here, and little pokes there..... are the chinese setting up for a future taiwan grab?...hmmmm:mj03: ....

i wonder if obama is shocked and wondering why the russians, chinese and north koreans aren`t basking in his glow?......

the blood is in the water......and the sharks are gathering...

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
yup, that's some Obama change for ya!

yup, that's some Obama change for ya!

Defense is goverment's primary duty. Not health care, or rural internet, nor schooling.

Defense spending is 20% of the current budget, and Obama proposes to shrink that to 14% by 2016.

That's the smallest percentage since the 1930s--and any GI who lived thru the mobilization in 1940 can tell you how dangerously unprepared and woefully hampered by finances the US military was then.

No need for translation - Who would you attack first?

its ok gw no one elected George W either and we suffered with him for 8 yrs

First of all - that was pretty funny Scott...

Second of all - I can certainly blame Bush for China, Russia, North Korea, Iran and others for raising their hackles at the United States. Now all of a sudden, under Obama, these people are ticked off at us? Interesting to me, that when Bush spent so much political effort and capital on Iraq - for really no good reason - that other states who don't agree with our style of government would test the waters. Do you honestly think that Russia, China, Iran and North Korea didn't bristle and take whatever "liberties" they could when they could? And now Obama is commissioning more carriers? Being prudent (in most people's minds) about withdrawing in Iraq? Turning attention to Al Qaida in Afghanistan? Trying to attack our own economy so it doesn't collapse and make us weaker (the methods are of course arguable, but still...)?

From what I can see, the Europeans started working together financially when Bush was in power (the Euro ring a bell?), China and Russia have started working together, and we have as far as I can tell done little to stop anything in North Korea or for sure produced the killer of Americans - Bin Laden. The economy tanked under Bush well before Obama took over, making us weaker abroad. Our military is tired and weakened, under Bush, in an elective war in a country that did not threaten us in any meaningful way.

And now Obama is being tested? Hell - after the past 8 years, I would test it, too.

No, I didn't (and thanks for ignoring my opinions and changing the subject...FWIW, IMO, LMAO...), but I will copy and paste what seems to be the important parts of the mistake:

Despite the embarrassment, the two made light of the moment in front of the cameras and pushed the button together to signify a shared hope for better relations.

At a joint news conference after two hours of talks, both joked about the error.

"We reached an agreement on how 'reset' is spelled in both Russian and English - we have no differences between us any more," Mr Lavrov said through an interpreter.

Mrs Clinton put it this way: "The minister corrected our word choice. But in a way, the word that was on the button turns out to be also true.

"We are resetting, and because we are resetting, the minister and I have an 'overload' of work."

The gift was a light-hearted reference to US Vice-President Joe Biden's recent remark that the new US administration wanted to reset ties with Russia after years of friction.
