Well, Monday morning I called in sick to work after a Christmas party Sunday night. Funny thing was I didn't drink too much at the Christmas party, but I felt like crap - stuffy nose and sore throat. Went to work on Tuesday, came home and felt like crap still. Woke up this morning and still feel like crap, started taking Chloroseptic spray and panadol last night to see if I could knock this out. Have been drinking lots of water as well. Anyone have any ideas how I might be able to knock this damn cold out by tomorrow. Really have a lot to do in the next few days. :(:(

there is a new product out call ZICAM - cold remedy

it comes in spray, rapid melts, or nose spray.

It has zinc in it or something. cost 10 bucks.

Its amaziing how fast you recuperate after you take it.

Dont get the Zicam thats like tylonel sleep stuff.

This stuff reduces colds affects . They have it for flu and alergies also.

Amazing stuff.

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. I'll try to pick some of that stuff up.

I know Agent is off work right now, he just told me in a previous thread. Then, I found this picture and realized he's vacuuming the house - he must be having some guests over....

get some Claritin D 24 hour and take for about a week. It is OTC. I've used the Zicam before and had 0 results, but I know others who really think it works well.

But the best way to beat a cold, is to sweat it out, like Agent does when he's driving to the hoop.

Just getting over mine today. So bad yesterday went to denist for previously sceduled appointment and he said no way come back next week--and recommended I go get ZICAM by the way.
However I am believer a cold has to take its course although some remedies help.
Case in point everyone in office has went through this cold and regardless of what each did it lasted 3 to 4 days and was gone.

Sorry kneifl.......

If you can find someone to knock it out that fast I'd love to go in partners on that remedy. Hate to be the messenger of bad news but these things now days seem to linger forever :cursin: Alot of the staff at my school have had symptoms for 3-4 weeks :scared (usually at least a couple).....but of course we're exposed to these sniffling, coughing, nose dripping little disease carriers all day :mj07: Just about the time we're recouping from one of our episodes, another one sneezes on us :mj16: I'd love to have one of my bouts clear up in less than a week :jump: GL buddy :mj09:

On the course!
Anyone else notice that a cold used to last about 4-5 days back in the 70's-80's, and now they hang on for two weeks?
