Will watch them both today and report back.

YOU SHOULD REALLY START HERE.
Batman (1989)

given the year made..

and how tuff the subject matter and the thought process than went into making sure this was an adult film.

Burton was willing to go to his grave to get this flick right and he did.

Keaton,,Jack and Kim are awesome in this flick..

and again given the year the special effects are fantastic in their entanglement of the film..

then see the other two directed by Christopher Nolan..

his view is awesome as well..

Dark Knight should have swept the awards.

Stuffy hollywood wouldn't have any part of that happening..

Not to add my comic book dorkiness to this but you can not compare Dark Knight with the other previously made Burton movies.

There are alternate Batman story lines with The Dark Knight being the darker more sinister portrayal.

In comparison, the Amazing Spiderman due out this summer is FAR darker than the previous films and is being produced by Stan Lee who is the creater of all things Marvel.

Of Note:

Heath Ledger was the only cast actor for the Joker for the Dark Knight.

He spent 6 weeks ALONE in a hotel room getting into character. He designed the face paint on his own and they brought in make up artist to copy it.

The tongue flick was Ledger's on personal habit and was incorporated into the film.

I am a huge fan of the Dark Knight series. For those that don't know what's coming in this films, it is an epic ass whipping and uprising. Funny the similarities of todays protests by the 99%.

Also in this film, Batman can finally turn his head which wasn't possible in the Burton films. Also, the fighting happens in the day time, something never before done as Batman is of the night.

Dork rant over...

And the score, man, is Hans Zimmer talented as well as his crew.

On the course!
Here's a story in my local paper about an armoured type car used in the movie.

Our little city is the first city in the country to get one of these babies!

The police chief said it actually had "Gothem Police" on the side when they got it, so they had the company take it off.

So.....

Just finished Batman Begins.

I needed the history of who he is and how he became what he is and how he does what he does, otherwise I never could have watched it.

I always thought he had supernatural powers like Superman.

I'm a fan now, I think. Will let you know after I finish the next one.

What a great cast in this movie too :0074

Well done :0008

Really good flick, I'm glad you guys convinced me to give them a shot :toast:

Heath Ledger was outstanding. I've only heard about him and his performance and his untimely death. Wow! That guy had it going for himself!

Morgan Freeman :0074

Michael Caine :0074

And another one of my faves, Maggie Gyllenhaal, is always easy to watch. Something really sexy about her.

I'm not a big fan of Christian Bale.

9* outta 10*

The only drawback was Eric Roberts  and that phoney fucking makeup job on Aaron Eckhart

I look forward to the new installment.
