very good read

8. Budweiser
> Sales loss (2006-2010): -30%
> Brewer: Anheuser-Busch InBev
> Barrels sold (2010): 18 million
The self-proclaimed ?king of beers,? Budweiser?s lager was originally sold in 1876. The company still refers to itself as The Great American Lager, despite the fact that the brand is now technically owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, a Belgian company. For years, it was the most popular beer in the country, until Bud Light took its place in 2001.

Good Stuff there Old School. Out of those eight, the only one I will still drink is Budweiser, and that is usually if I am drinking draft or just having 1 or 2.

I think the Bud Select 55 hurt the Bud Select because Bud had to beat the MGD64.

Some guy at the liquor warehouse this week told me they discontinued Michelob Light. I find that hard to believe, but Light and Michelob are 1 & 2 on that list.

I'm perfectly satisfied with Mickeys or Budweiser.

Personally very sad to see the top two going down. I love Michelob Light - good taste and easy to drink - IMO. But I don't like thick or dark beer too much, and do not qualify as a real beer drinker, I know.

Spent a long time being a beer snob in SW Missouri drinking the Heinekeins, Beck's and the like. But just settled into a lighter beer later in life. I dunno - looks like I'm gonna have to move on...

Will be eternally happy with Leinenkugel's Honeyweiss and Labatt's Blue, I suppose... or just decide to be bigger, stronger and more intelligent by drinking Crown Royal on the rocks from now on (and getting another divorce in the process...).

Not trying to offend anyone, but those beers all suck anyway......then again, I brew my own beer sometimes so I do look down on mass produced crap. If you enjoy those beers, knock yourself out.:toast:
