The Finnish Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) said in a statement Friday it had banned Finnish drinks importer Vino Vinces from selling Duff Beer, a brand inspired by animation series the Simpsons.

The agency said the typeface used in the packaging of Duff Beer must not resemble the one used in the Simpsons.

"Especially the typeface used in the Duff Beer bottle creates a strong link to the Simpsons animation programme that is watched by children as well [as adults]," the statement added.

They brought back the original recipie. Been available for a few years around here again. They sell it at a higher price than the Millers and Buds in the drinking establishments. My bro drinks it. Im a cheapie, I get the 30-pack of Old Mil Light. LOL. Splurge on better quality stuff once in a while.:toast:

there are accounts about the gigantic blunder of the Schlitz Brewery and their desperation attempt to over take "The King" back in the day of "The Big Three"...BUD..MILLER..SCHLITZ.

If it hadn't been for the Coors Brewery making the move East and taking over the fledgling[sp] Schlitz and Old Milwaukee distributors,we who had busted our asses for years would have been swallowed up by the Miller houses even sooner than when it did eventually happen


Some day I will make one of the "Outings" and share some stories of Beer Rep and wild out of control times.

To this day I don't know how I survived the experience.
