Getting information on demand is amazing. Remember waiting to get the finals scores on sporting events to see if you cashed or seeing if it was going to be rainy or sunny in the morning. I use it to bank and that i thought would never happen.

How did it change your life?

Great thread. I think about this every other day. Always pops into my head because I remember the 80's so well. My brother-in-law had a bag cell phone and an IBM Thinkpad with a 128MB of RAM. Those two things meant you were living in high cotton.

My favorite thing about having access to everything is.....whipping out my phone and checking scores or watching an NFL game when I am away from the house.

My least favoriting thing is....whipping my phone out when I am bored instead of reading a book. Sometimes the phone wins over the book. Well, actually most of the time.

In no particular order:

#1) Any Sports site with up to the second scores.....and now live feeds, thank you ESPN Watch & Plus!!!

Many times in the '80's/'90's I'd spend time on a pay phone trying to get the final of the game or watching "CNN HEADLINE SPORTS!!!" at 20 & 50 after the hour only to be foiled.....Now my pain is usually cut down to mere seconds, it's added years to my life.....

#2) Google: I use the site daily for information...Google Maps is Da-BOOM!!!

#3) Weather.com: Being on the road covering multiple states weekly this site has saved my ass many a time. Football game day is a must.....MLB Weather Sites have won me some good coin in the past with wind conditions...

#4) Say what you want about FB but this is a gossiper's dream.....If you want to know who just farted down the street someone will post asking what that loud bang just was and watch the replies flow in!!!.....Who the hell needs papers, radio or tv for news anymore, FB provides one stop shopping for it all--- news/sports/weather/medical emergencies/family events/yard sales/restaurant opens/why Joe and Sue broke up....The instant message feature is and must for me, it's how I communicate with my kids at school, use it every day......:0074

#5) MadJackSports: Internet on crack....The Rat Bastard reeled us in and feeds us daily....Damn shame :0003

#6) Online gambling 24/7 from the comforts of my recliner.....Hell YES, more please!!!

#8) Porn Sites: Someone was telling me the other day that you could find smut online.....Who the hell knew....

#9) Movies: Hulu/NetFlix---ect?..Just awesome to have this type of entertainment at your fingertips!!!

Remember all the parents who ?cared? about the education of their children bought encyclopedia brittaincas from the door to door salesmen? 😂 you were the envy of your peers if you could get information at home rather than having to go to the public library for reports.

I remember the score phones. U would have to listen to a spiel from a scamdicapper (my favorite was Jeff Allen) like Stu Feiner, your SOURCE!!! Before u could hear the scores. That, or watch ESPN bottoms line like a hawk only to be pissed when u bet some some small shit school in the Big Sky and the bottom line only did top 25 scores 😂
