Don't think anyone thinks all attorneys are crooks and cheats at all Chad. Don't know your wife but certainly think in knowing you these years you would be correct--

--would say chances are nill that 1st question out of your wifes receptionist is--
-Do they have insurance?
2nd -I've got a doctor I want you to see?
3rd We get 1/3 plus expenses
4th- We'll probably won't have to go to court.

Chadman is just doing the exact same thing that he's crying about Dogs. I'll change the words a bit.

Yeah, all the lawyers are most honest people I've ever met, and live a life worry-free about how they conduct their business, family, and friendships, since that is the way my lawyer wife is.

I/O, I'm not sure why you are so focused on ripping me here, but if it makes you feel better, rip away. I don't think any employment sector needs to be paintbrushed, and just wanted to post a different viewpoint. I know several attorneys who are genuinely nice people, very trustworthy, and I admire. No doubt there are thousands that aren't like that, and are in the profession for different reasons, mainly to make money. So what? So are many doctors, construction workers, siding applicators, morticians, whatever.

Funny thing, lawyers are always ripped mercilessly, but who are the first people that some of the rippers (here and elsewhere) run to when they get in a jam? And which attorney do they run to first? The honest, trustworthy ones, or the ones that are connected and will do whatever it takes to get them out of their jam?

Hypocritical comments, running rampant. But what the heck...if it makes you feel better. Next time, why don't you not re-construct my comments, I/O, and roll your little eyes at me afterwards. I can speak quite plainly for myself - I certainly don't need you doing it for me.

Thank you Chad. Although I know better than to try and defend lawyers to those like Wayne with an agenda, for some unknown reason, I continue to do it. I'd have better luck trying to persuade a brick (analogy appropriate).

Lets see now unions, lawyers, and the aclu were all instrumental in building the middle class. Some how nitwit neocon radio and Fox News has these monkeys believing the same middle class that was created because of these three, should forget about this representation as somehow its a bad thing. Now that these same fools benefited for years from the Aclu, unions, and lawyers they feel they somehow are bad for the country. :mj07: These same people who say ''don't challenge the gov't and just relax and let it run its course would be making 3 cents an hour with no healthcare or benefits. Trying to fight for rights when you have so many ignorant and brainwashed citizens fighting against you is laughable as well as sad. I couldn't imagine our country without lawyers. We would be ruined. God bless the Lawyers who help out. Anyone who helps out working families in this country is hated by the neocons. It makes life a little harder for their rotten agenda.

Not to get into the personal experiences of my life and some close to me involving lawyers that have directly shaped my opinion, I'm sure there exists and honest one or two somewhere on the planet. It relates the same way as professional touts in sports. I'm sure there exists an honest one or two of them as well. But being from either of those professions, "when you lay with pigs" .........

OF COURSE they will be there when you are at your weakest and most in need. That's a cash cow.

Judges are also awesome people. That's a story for a different day.

one more thing...

Lawyers and their ilke have taken a long time to build up the weak reputation all on their own. It's no accident and nobody needs to be throwing that class of trash a pity party now.

yeah eddie...i never understand why you always take it personally what posters here say about lawyers. there are good & bad in all professions....as long as you can live with how you represent your clients thats all that matters.

now used car salesmen are a different matter.

sincerely,

dr. sigmund freud

AR & IO:

Now that has a certain ring to it. If you say it fast it enough it sounds like a certain rock band from the 80's.

I don't take it personally. I am thick skinned and don't let Wayne et al get to me with his constant lawyer bashing. Even IO with his "... I'm sure there are a few good ones..." and Wayne with the bone that he throws"...I personally know severally very honorable lawyers in Bowling Green but...." the constant overall painting of attorney's as MOSTLY evil, greedy, ambulance chasing, slime ball, scum of the earth, blood sucking, morally-bankrupt, low-life, arrogant, Jackie Childs like, sociopathic, sub-human, neanderthal, heartless, souless beasts on this website requires a response every once in a while if I find myself in the right mood when such comments push the wrong button in my normally tolerant and understanding demeanor.

I mean after all, I didn't go to law school for three years to be compared to Republican businessmen. Have a little respect.

Believe I had several good comments about several lawyers if you'll read post--its just the ones that can't distinguish diff between -perjury and obstruction of justice from a BJ --then think they are qualified to preach to us on constitution--that I have prob with :)

I can distinguish the difference between the various crimes mentioned. I can also distinguish the difference between the substance of what an individual is lying about such as sex when you are a married political figure vs. the authorization of the sale of arms to contra-revolutionaries in violation of US law as Ronald Reagan did in his deposition.

I can also distinguish the difference between finding fault with your opponent's teamate but looking the other way when your teamate has a pimple on his forehead. Apparently, you have an inability to realize this shortcoming about your personality.
