i just heard that the federal gov't. can't give help to a state until that state requests it......

we don't know when the governor of louisiana requested help.

imo, the blame should sit directly on the governor's
desk.......he/she should have ordered the state troopers & the national guard of louisiana immediately for law enforcement. and marshall law should be declared...immediately.

i have no problem with people looting grocery stores for food.

my problem is with the looters who i have seen running down the street holding tv's & other similar items.

i have a problem with people stealing weapons, shooting at the police & the firemen just doing their jobs.

i have a problem with thugs raping women & children & stealing from innocent people......these people imo, don't deserve any type of sympathy & should be executed, if caught in the action right on the spot.

I agree with some of what you say AR.

Shoot the rapists and murderers on sight. As far as the TVs and stuff - it really doesn't matter. They are not going to be able to bring any of it with them.

As for stealing weapons, they may be doing it to defend themselves. Wouldn't want to be unarmed out there at night.

I am sure that the Gov requested Federal help days ago. It may be that most of her Nat Guard are in Iraq / Afghanistan.

There was no funding because there wasn't a very high probability of the happening. There are much more impt things on the priority list than these levees. The only reason why it's a big deal now is because this happened.

I bet if you took a survey of people in this country last week before katrina half of them probably wouldn't have known the definition of the word levee, let alone the implications in NO.

Moe, I read and studied the Quran in college as well as studied the Muslim people and culture. I think I am well versed in what true Muslim beliefs are and that has led to my position that Islam is the single most dangerous threat to this planet. Our government feels the need to respect Islam. Why the hell should we respect a religion centered on death, murder, and violent control? IMO, tolerance for Islam, is tolerance for hatred, violence, bloodshed, and death.

I don't believe the terrorists are just a handful of crazy "extremist" Muslims either. True Muslims who live by the Quran are hate-filled people, which means they believe in and support all the death, murder, and terrorism. Any Muslim who denies this is either a liar, or they are not a true Muslim, and should find another religion.Their daily prayers include praying for success of the "martyrs" and the worldwide conquest of Islam. In Islam, each individual views themselves as having a "job" to do in Allah's name. Many of them believe their job is to lie low and foster an idea of "peaceful" Muslims who are "non-violent" and not a threat. They understand that they must convince the world that Islam is good, while those whose "job" involves jihad must carry out the war and bloodbath. I believe strongly in the freedom of religion, but I feel Islam is not a real religion, it's a religious terrorist war machine. It's not about hate, it's about civilized people verses uncivilized sub-human pigs.
