Mitt should be working to re-elect Obama.
He'd do much better financially.

When we look at Republicans and Democrats by the numbers, the results are very interesting.

In the last 50 years, Republicans have held the White House for 28 years.
Democrats have held it for 22 years.

Republicans created 24 million jobs.
Democrats created 42 million jobs.

Republicans got a stock market return of 109%.
Democrats got a stock market return of 992%.

Annualized, that's 2.7% for Republicans.
Annualized, that's 11% for Democrats.

Republicans had GDP growth of 2.7%.
Democrats had GDP growth of 4.1%

Republicans saw income grow 0.6%
Democrats saw income grow 2.2%.

By any economic measure---these figures are from the US Dept. of Labor---the overall economy performs much better when a Democrat is in the White House.

As is obvious to all but the comatose, Romney and Ryan are focused on the classic right-wing social issues and their desire to recreate the Great Depression by shredding the social safety net and deliberately making life harder for the needy and for the working poor.
Every economic 'idea" they have promoted will widen the already_obscene_wealth and income gap, further shrink the weakened middle class, and reward the wealthy with even more wealth.

So tell me again, conservatives----why on Earth would any thinking person vote for Romney

Would be interesting to see how those stats broke down in relation to which political gang controlled of Congress.

Exactly ImFekhlr.

Not to mention, the cause-effect relation of programs enacted under one administration....

It may take several years to see the benefit / destruction caused under one President -

It is not a vacuum where you can arbitrarily pull out one detail.

However, the last time the US saw this type of anti-American sentiment in the ME was under Carter - another weak President.

So, apparently, some things happen faster than others.

Right behind you

Carter was president on 9-11?

When the Marines were killed in 1983 in Lebanon?

When the Cole was bombed in 2000?

Those were pretty strong anti-American sentiments. More so than burning flags or shouting "death to the infidels", wouldn't you say?

There are many in the Mideast who would like to revert to the 12th century. I say, let them go back. If they want to play polo with each other's heads, fine with me. We should simply leave them to their own destiny. Stop screwing with them, stop buying their oil, stop giving them publicity. We should treat them as we do North Korea.

Although maybe we could send them the American nutjobs who want to go back to the 18th century.

Sorry, Duff.

Sure- those were pretty extreme anti-Americanism moments as well.

And I agree with you - leave them to their own ways and let them figure it out.
