Some of you are clueless. The rules that every team in the BCS agreed to was that #1 vs #2 would meet & the winner would be the National Champion. It is obvious the NCAA even recognizes LSU as the only true national champion as in their official store, you only see a LSU National Title T-Shirt.

I know alot of you felt Oklahoma didn't deserve to be in the title game but I dare any of you to show me one rule that state you had to win a conference title to play for the national title? Last I check USC didn't even have the risk of a conference championship game.

Atleast the Big 12 & SEC play them year in & year out. Go back the last 20 years & share with us how many Pac 10 teams have won the title? I'll save you the time & tell you, they have only won it once & that was Washington in 1991.

The 1991 UW Huskies were also the last Pac 10 team to go undefeated in conf play. How many SEC teams have run the table over the "tough" SEC in that time span? It is virtually impossible for any team to go undefeated in Pac 10 conf play. To me that shows more toughness than every 3-4 yrs having one team that the rest of the conference cant compete with.

As far as the SEC national championships. Any handicapper should know that until there is a playoff, any "so-called" national championship is little more than a popularity contest.

p.s Mr Hockey the last I checked Oklahoma didnt have the risk of a conference championship, either! Try again!!!!

Who said anything about handicapping? The system sucks but it is what it is & it doesn't change the fact that even before the BCS, the Pac 10 still wasn't winning national titles.

The season is over & this thread was not discussing handicpping but the game of CFB in general.

I doubt you have the capabilities to be a good bookie anyway. Plus I don't waste my time with the usuals.

I wouldn't need to be a good bookie for you. I would only need to know where to find you on payday!:weed:

Cause I doubt you have the capabilities to be a good handicapper.

You couldn't afford to pay me. Some of you just can't deal with the fact the Pac 10 has won jack shit over the years.

Good post and you are very intelligent.

Anybody who feels the SEC is superior conference is not intelligent and very ignorant.

Anybody who thinks the SEC is superior conference over the Pac 10 is not intelligent and very ignorant

Why do I make these bold statements? Not to put down anybody, but you people are useless to debate. You have "very poor" reading comprehension. I clearly proved that the SEC conference is no better than the Pac 10. I also proved that it is not superior conference. I laid out everything in an easy to read fashion. I also countered every argument you could possibly make about the SEC being superior. I showed you how the SEC has top 25 ranked teams and showed how the SEC has gotten teams in the NC title game. If you still think the SEC is superior conference, you are very ignorant. I laugh at you. I am sorry, but I just sit back in my chair and laugh. It is truly sad you not only were duped into thinking the SEC is a superior conference, but after being "proved wrong" you still think so. That is sad and very ignorant.

I also want to clarify that I do not think the SEC is a bad conference, I just do not think it is a superior conference and no better than the Pac 10. I also have little respect for the way the SEC tries and get their teams ranked in the top 25. I also feel sad for the fans of these SEC teams who have to watch these OOC games. But then again, these same fans are blinded and think the SEC is powerhouse conference.

As a result, there is nothing more to debate on this issue because I have out debated everyone. Nobody can step up to the plate. Maybe for good reason, because I clearly proved my point.

I know Mr. Hockey prolly better then anybody on these boards..I talk to him daily and we exchange opionions. The guy isnt a phony, he`s a great capper...him and JT Sneaks are the best NBA cappers I have ever followed. Good in college ball both football and basketball...Yea he plays alot of games, but thats cuz he shops for the best lines and gets them early. I learned alot from this guy...as far as line shopping and competition in the lower conferences in college ball

whether you wanna respect him or not...cant say that he's a bad capper

If anyone is useless to debate it is you. You can't seem to accept certain facts & always try to spin things to your liking.

The facts don't lie, the Pac 10 has one national title hell I'll even count the USC paper title to make it 2 titles since 1980!!! There is no debating that the SEC is better then the Pac 10.

The SEC has 4 titles since 1980!!! I would guarantee that if you ask every coach outside of the Pac 10 & SEC, which conference they would think is easier to win in, a majority would say the Pac 10.

I respect the open minded coaches the Pac 10 has & enjoy the football they play & I've defended them numerous times but I don't ignore facts. People remember champions & when it comes to football, the Pac 10 falls short in that catagory.

The SEC has 4 titles since 1980 & each was won by a different team so it shows how solid the conference is from top to bottom. The Pac 10 hasn't come close to matching that.

Mr Hockey :nooo:

I think you have poor reading comprehension. I do not understand, you bring NO ARGUMENT on SEC CONFERENCE. I TOLD YOU EXACTLY HOW THE SEC GETS TEAMS RANKED TOP 25 AND HOW THE SEC GETS TEAMS INTO THE NC GAME. READ! LEARN! BECOME SMARTER! I GUESS THE TRUTH REALLY HURTS YOU!

No, you should learn to stop having sour grapes. You are just mad that USC is a paper champion. I see the NCAA official store is only selling one National Title T-Shirt & I'll give you a clue, it doesn't belong to your obsession.;)

FROM THE TOP OF MY HEAD......

Last year the Pac 10 had much much better QB's than the SEC. No question there.

This year, from top of my head......

Lienart vs Manning, thats tough, senior vs Soph (first year playing). I say Manning is better now, but Lienart surpassed any QB who is soph. now. What will Lienart do next year with experience behind his back? He put up heisman numbers this year. Booty, the back up qb, has more talent than both Manning and Lienart. Just threw that out there.

I will take the CAL QB Rodgers over anybody in the SEC except Manning. That guy is stud. This was his 1st year playing at cal.

Oregon has 2 talented QB's. I know at least 1 is back next year. Watch out.

Washngton QB Picket is a great talented QB who had bad talent around him. Similar to Manning. He also play injured this year. He was heisman pre-season candidate this year.

Stanford has a "great" young qb. 1st year playing at stanford.

Washington St. QB KEGAL (senior) was impressive. Very good.

ASU Walter will be an NFL qb, just does not have talent around him to give him great stats. Was Heisman pre-seaosn candidate this year.

Oregon St. QB is average.
Arizona QB is average at best.
UCLA QB is average at best.

As for SEC (who has 12 teams i think) so more QB's......

Manning is excellent.

Leak was impressive this year as frosh. USC wanted him badly but struck out. However USC fortunately ended up getting a better QB than leak in BOOTY (left high school early and was rated higher than leak as a junior in high school).

Clausan i think is over-rated. Not many WEST COAST SCHOOLS WANTED HIM. USC passed on him i think. I still would rate him above average but would not want him as my qb. Has impressive road record but many games against bad opponents and does not seem like a WINNER to me.

kentucky qb is slightly above average. I like his heart but makes dumb decisions.

I think the UGA QB Green is good, he just did not have good OL. I think he will be good next year.

LSU QB was average IMO. He would "prob." be 3rd string at USC. 2nd string at best. Seriously. He also would not start at at least
4-5 pac 10 schools.

Alabama QB is average
Arkansas QB is average
AU qb is average

Vandy, S. CAR., Miss St., have nothing to brag about at all.

Manning would start at every pac 10 school I think if competed the same year. He is very good. Although you "could" argue with lienart. I do know if Manning was a frosh now and competed with Booty, Booty would beat him hands down. Thats how good Booty is. Leak would have started at 5-6 pac 10 schools this year I think.

Overall, both conferences have som "stars" but I think the Pac is last year and this year was better in QB department thatn the SEC. Maybe not by a lot this year. I do think the future for pac 10 QB's is a lot more brighter than the SEC QB's of the future. That is for sure. Lot of these qb's in th pac 10 are coming back next year.

I 'd be interested in your "opinion." Good topic you brought up.

Who cares if Booty was rated higher? Since when have these rankings been 100% dead on.

Take Carson Palmers talent, and Lienarts smarts, and you get BOOTY. He is super talented and very smart football wise. His dad was his qb coach and brothers all played ball. The guy is super star waiting. Chow loves him and has said so. I have seen booty in practices and he is heads and above Lienart. Trust me.

Anyone can look good on the practice field. Until he shows it to the masses, comparing him to anyone is nothing more then a crapshoot.

I liked your analysis on the QBs. One comment on Ark. QB. I think he is underrated. Do you realize that Matt Jones could outrun 99% of your USC squad? Trust me on this one. Did you see him play this year? Honestly?

Thanks for compliment. I be interested in your QB analysis (if you have watched pac 10 football). Living on west coast and having ESPN gameplan, i see all the teams and conferences.

I do not think you realize how fast USC is. USC was one of the fastest teams last year. and will be faster this year.
Here are "few" of the top fastest guys on the USC team.

1) RB Bush - 4.3 (#1 RB recruit in nation last year)
2) DB Wyatt - 4.35
3) SS Bing - 4.4 (6.2 230 lbs) (#1 SS recruit in nation 2 years ago)
4) WR Lewis - 4.35-4.4 (#1 high school recruit last year)
5) WR Smith - 4.4 (#3 WR recruit in nation last year)
6) DB T.Thomas - 4.3
7) DB Eric Wright - 4.4

Thats some serios team speed and on super talented kids. These are not just track guys. This list does not include this years recruits and all these guys on here were FRESHMAN this last year except for Wyatt who was a Sophomore. All guys in bold are superstars on the team or will be next year and all will be only sophomores next year at USC.

USC plays Arkansas 2005 and 2006. What year is JONES?? I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed playing AU. Very classy fans and it was fun tailgating and talking football with them. I also like their tradition. Maybe USC and Ole Miss and start a series after Arkansas.

No offense Scott...but you saying what you said about Booty is a little bit premature. You have seen him in practice. I have seen him in the real thing. Saw three of his games in high school, and don't get me wrong, he was spectacular, but to say he is palmer+leinart is a bit misleading. He definitely has potential to be great, but hey, so did Ryan Leaf....
