is it that hard to follow the rules when playing golf??
i wonder do you two use your "foot wedge" when your balls are in the woods or do you just throw it out, kick it around to get a good lie en route to your double and triple bogeys, slowing up the pace of play for everyone on the course??
to each is own, i personally enjoy golf by following the rules of the game, if you find enjoyment compromising the rules in order to keep your score low and your handicap at 28, by all means, but if you were ever in competition you would understand that its not that hard to play by the rules.
give it a try one day, you might actually feel a little better about your "true" golf score.

Unfortunately i can not judge what the NEC situation was because i wasnt able to catch and of the tournament this weekend but in the past when i have seen the PGATour adopt this policy for the tournament, they are trying to help make the competition play fairly. Driving a ball between 270 and 300 in the air in the middle of the fairway and having it plug is unfortunate and may directly affect the outcome of the tournament. I think the PGA is just trying to take eliminate these circumstances coming down the stretch on sunday.
