Everyone is talking like the the Phillies just won the series, yes they dominated last night in pitching and hitting, but it was one game of seven, Cliff Lee isn't going to pitch every game, so lets settle down and and not crown them just yet. :0corn

You're right, he won't, but Philly has the better offense, and starting pitching. Yankees have a better bullpen, but what good that do yah when you're trailling?

Everyone forgets, Philly is DEFENDING champs.

Better starters? Lee yes. Who else? Hamels has not had a quality since August. Pedro who knows. Blanton and Haap are in the bullpen. I'd say the starting pitching is about even. No one was hitting Lee last night. Does that qualify the Yankees as poor hitters the rest of the way? Everone is jumping to conclusions around here. I'm a long time Yankee hater so don't think I'm a fan. I'm just trying to think out loud here. One game will not decide this series.

This is so common, it must be second nature to jump to conclusions and form opinions. I think humans need that instantaneous self gratification of thinking you know all the answers without doing the hard work, to deliberate, dissect, etc.. I find it quite funny. I hope the Yanks win tonight just to see if it changes some peoples mindset.

I agree SDS...I wanna see the Yanks win just to see how everyone swings the other way....Everyone wants to say "see I was right"....it was one game pitched by a master....now Sabathia is no good, the yanks can't hit...Rivera wont' be needed because the Phils will be ahead in every game!!!

I, by any means do not think Philly will silence the NY bats this series, but my point is, the yankees pitching (minus mariano) WILL NOT silence the phillies bats, you can talk about pedro, or hamels or whoever getting shelled, but you still have to shut down the phillies bats, no one has done it yet, and beating CC at his own park only adds confidence to phillies....pressure is on yankees not to go down 2-0 and they hand the ball to burnett??? :nono:

Lee did pitch a GEM but CC got rocked for HR's by the same batter. So what does that say. YANKS #1 LOST. Who do the YANKEES have behind CC who is GREAT ? HHAHAH NO ONE.:mj07:

Yes, they have better starters. Cliff Lee proved that he's better than CC, and he's proven it the entire playoffs. Burnett is better than Pedro, but you can't pitch Burnett @ Philly EVER or you're MINUS Posada + Matsui.

The problem the Yankees have in this series is they have to go back to Philly, at best 1-1. I don't care who's pitching, the important fact is that MATSUI + POSADA are going to be out of the lineup(BOTH) at some point. Hitting is the important fact of this series, not pitching.

I'm not jumping to conclusions. I've thought Philly was better from jump street. I think the Yankees win in a ROUTE tonight, actually.

I understand that this game is not over, but barring a big comeback, Yankees will be up 2-1, can people come back to earth now? Like their chances with CC again tomorrow, and then maybe Lee pitches game 5 and dominates again, if this happens, Yankees have 2 games to win it, will Phillies pitch Lee on short rest for game 7 assuming they win game 6?

when i first saw this post i couldn?t agree more...the 90% of this forum was on Phillies at the end of game one...this ain?t over yet, but as a yankee fan i could not believe all the haters not giving them credit....guess standing 3-1 right now closed a lot of mouths....

Amigo LDB why is your units so disastrously negative?

That was his joke in regards to some schmuck "angryblackman" who posted some BS about LDB's record/winnings. kinda funny, its amazing how he can continue to wager with those mounting losses, LOL.

LDB, keep it up, the world is full of idiots unfortunately. Lets let the majority rule here, don't let a few scumbags run you off, same for Thunder. The posts are a great service and should be for anyone against the books. Who really cares about records and % of profits anyway other than the poster themselves, what matters is if you win. If some jackass wants to go back and re-calculate every penny F'em!

Moving forward GL!
