I dont see why everyone supposedly hates Sponge, I like him.

As far as the contest I would like to see it. Not sure what direction I would say has the advantage at this time.

This is a capping contest, not a scavenger hunt. In order to determine the best capper (at least for a season) there must be controls in place (ie, set lines, pick quotas/limits,etc.). If you can go anywhere you please for a line, we might as well call it a shopping contest.

Being that you trust nobody on the site you make up a contest and i will look it over. It kinda looks like you have a problem with a monitored contest so i will wait and see what you want to do. I will look for something also.

I have repeatedly stated that with any contest held on a sports gambling forum, all plays should be posted. The idea that any sane gambler would readily allow someone else to have access to and monitor their sportsbook account is ludicrous.

This is not a hobby for me Sponge, it is a part time job. Your weak attempt to turn this into something other than the challenge that you proposed makes me believe that you are not really interested in anyone accepting.

I'll tell you what, if Jack is so inclined, I will accept any rules for a football only contest that he feels would be fair. If that means that Jack is willing to monitor our individual accounts, then that is fine with me but I seriously doubt that he would be willing to take that on. I could however, be wrong about this and would gladly abide by his format.

Otherwise, my proposed format would be the one that I have already suggested in previous posts. If you are somehow put off by Scott's tacky little post, I do not know what to say other than it has zero basis in my own posting history here at Mad Jack's or elsewhere.

The problem I stated with the points was I have seen many cappers come up with +7 points on a play when everywhere else it is posted as +4. Oh yeh I got that on Zimwabee Sports book.

Scotty there is a time and a place to break balls. What you said was kinda screwy. I have only been here around a year and i don't know judge that well and you go putting accusations like that up makes me not know what to think.
Now judge your getting more comical with each post. First it was no NFL playoff, now no other sports but football, nothing monitored. no Hilton contest because you only bet some NFL games. How about i pick five games on Friday and you can get the newspaper on Tuesday after the games have been played and pick yours? You are the one that stepped up and lets face it you want a contest with all your strenghts. You say this is a part time job then shouldn't you be able to cap anything? When i post my games i want the lines to be updated for when i post my play. How this could be accomplished I don't know. That is all i asked for. I could put my bets up but somehow i know i will be accused of shaving a line(you just got accused and we didn't even start yet). What you want is a college football contest lets face it. If its a college football contest will the bowls be included or no Bowls? I will tell you what i will go a mixture of five games NFL and college with the unit idea you had. I will go with set lines but i wont go for putting my bets in on a set time unless we are in a contest like the Hilton with a big prize at the end. I say you have to at least put two games from one of the sports. 2 cfb and 3 NFL or vice verse.

Look at first I think u wanted a Hilton type contest but didnt want to set up the funds.



So I think I propose this , the Hilton lines are preset to all those using them in the contest. They are posted online for all to see about Friday afternoon. Now the general public doesnt have access to these lines any earlier, so

I can clearly understand why each of u have reasons to do what it is u do, but look it is a contest, just as the Hilton is. I know u get ur pick in on friday and then find out the QB is not going to play sunday morning and the line now moves 7 points. Sorry but the guys in the Hilton can not go back and change things. And as for posting in public forum, bad idea, u could then just see what ur competition has played. and play accordingly.


So I think that u use the lines posted at the Hilton "Contest".(Regardless of line posted)

U then have up until First kick off Sunday morning,to get ur picks in. as few as 0 as and as many as u want. they are all weighted the same unit wise.

U then e-mail someone the picks that will then post them for u here in a selected thread that has been set up for this circus.

At the end of regular season week 17 the most units wins period.

No doubt, you guys both are acting scared, Judge more so. Quit be so damn nitpicky with all these rules and just set some easy rules already, it's not too hard. There should be no shopping around for lines in a contest anyways. Take someones lines and those will be your set lines, you don't like the particular odds on a game don't play it

F*ck it. The more I think about it, the more I realize that I just really don't give a shit about the rules. However, it looks like I will have to open a new account just for this contest so that someone will be able to monitor my bets for Sponge. Not my favorite idea and I really think that it is stupid but like I said, f*ck it.

I will ask Scotty at BetJamaica if he will allow a secondary account just for this purpose. If he agrees, will this book be OK with you, Sponge?

The next question will be who the hell is going to agree to monitor this all season long but I have an idea and I will contact that person privately.

I will also post all of my contest plays here at MJ's as I think that is how it should be done and maybe the membership can benefit from it.

all you have to do, both of you guys, is take a screen shot of your bet confirmation at whatvber book you make the bets with. it shows the line you bet and the amount of the bet. what's so hard? :shrug:
