Since when is being on welfare mean your "entitled"? Entitlement is a buzz word that fox news and Republicans like to use because they love to portray people that are down on their luck as needy.
There is no entitlement simply because you have a refrigerator or a fucking cell phone. Ten year olds have cell phones. It's just easier to point a finger at them and say it's all their fault! Our country spends less than one tenth of what other leading countries, that are far better off than we are financially, on social services and programs. We collect less than a third of our tax revenue from the wealthy yet they have 99% of our total wealth. We spent thirty times more money on wars in Iraq than all our social services combined and you still think she's the problem?

Also, if she is indicative of every person on welfare than wouldn't it be fair to say that Mitt Romney is indicative of the wealthy? You know, the guy that paid zero taxes last year, moved thousands of good paying jobs overseas to foreign countries and wears magic underwear?
I have always hoped that someday common sense well prevail. Unfortunately, the truly entitled require that to be non existent in order to continue to steal from the poor and increase their wealth, because that's exactly what this is all about. Making the rich richer.

What is even crazier is when the government allows it because any attempt made to make even the most modest reform is met with partisan demands to deconstruct the entire system. Again, this woman is by no means the norm of those on public aid.

Welfare reform isn't important to Republicans. Having stories such as this one is far more important. Just as voter id laws are far more important because of all that non existent voter fraud.

Reform is not supposed to be restrictive to the deserving.

He had been on unemployment, food stamps, etc... He filed for bankruptcy and hasn't made a mortgage payment in either one if his two houses in two years. He works for cash under the table yet still collects from social services. He voted Republican and hates must everything Democrat. So you tell me who's one in a fucking million chief. There's a lot more like him on public aid then there are her. Unfortunately, Republicans can't roll him into a tv commercial, or point their finger at him and say "see what the Democrats are like", in order to get elected.

George Sheldon sent a memo to the states stating that if any particular state needed more flexibility in the work requirement and training limitations in their administration of the TANF, he would be willing to use his authority to waive certain limitations of the work requirement. That authority was immediately questioned and subsequently blocked by Congress. To date not one state had applied for any exemption.
