Theisman out of MNF Booth

The New York Times says Joe Theismann is out of ESPN's MNF booth and will be replaced by Ron Jaworski.

Thank god ... I can finally stop muting MNF after years of muting Sunday night football which was even worse with him and McGuire. They were the worst announcing combo I ever heard.

That's excellent news! I loved the first MNF game last year when they had a doubleheader and Jaws and Dick Vermeil were in the booth. Nobody was over analyzing... it just flowed smooth. Couldn't stand Theismann. :00hour

Fan-freaking-tastic. He literally made me dislike much of the MNF games. I think Cornheiser, if he is back, will be better with Jaworski, they seem to get along pretty well. Maybe we can actually have some flow to these games now, and not have Theisman posturing all the time, and Tony trying to embarrass him by getting him to commit to his BS statements so specifically all the time.

If Cornheiser would just make observations like he did as a writer and like he does on PTI with a good partner, I think this trio could be very good. I had such a block against Theisman, I just rooted for Cornheiser to argue with his inane points. Not sure how he will do on his own merits, yet. Maybe he is being replaced, too...I haven't seen it, but could have missed it.

defintely agree....i don't know why the nfl producer's think there should be 3 in a booth....they should know their audience better than that....

I like some of Joes's commentary think he spiced things up.But It is time for some new angles and fresh thoughts but please. Jaws? I will give him a chance but most of his stuff on espn I do not like.He thinks he is so analytical about every concept in football and stiff as a board.
He does not like Jax either. But who does.
