My brother Brian had a massive heart attack last night. They are keeping him in a lowered body temperature state and will be bringing him back to normal body temperature today around noon. Brian is my younger brother, he's 57.

Sorry, Gary. I wish your brother, you, and your family all the best.

.My father had a massive heart attack in 1968( he was 55}. Was given last rites,in intensive care for 2 weeks..etc...a big time non-filter Camel smoker...never smoked again and passed away when he was 88...his last 10 years he subbed at the local High School...no one ever knew he was that old but he still had his teaching certification...and with todays medicine I'm sure we are light years ahead of the late 60's... I will always remember coming back from his wake going to my moms house. The mail arrived and I was going to give it to my mom..A letter from his school was there. In it was a check for $200...he had worked 3 days that week before he died...thoughts and prayers are with your brother...

terrible news! If you have any questions, I might be able to help. I have taken care of several full arrest patients that were placed in the hypothermia state. Best wishes, and let me know if I can help with any information.
