This is spot-on as to why I used to post in here so much. As I've noted before, Republican voters outnumber Democrat voters about 2:1 among my friends. We choose never to discuss politics because it's such a volatile subject. So since 2002 this forum was a sounding board of sorts to vent all of my political frustrations, as I have friends that almost ideologically identical to many in here (particularly Weasel and Tenzing, and Freeze when he used to post.... those three closely resemble three of my buddies), but since we don't talk politics, I use this forum to, I guess, indirectly bash them.
That's what made it difficult when I met AR, because before I only knew Kosar and Saul, and for the first time if I ripped on Bush/McCain/Republican supporters there was someone I considered a friend that was taking the brunt of the attack. So I figured it was best to just steer clear of here for the most part after that.

I agee with you Mr B--I think this is interesting forum--I can't think of one person here I've had any animousity towards--there have been maybe a couple from both ends of spectrum--I totally ignore(most no longer post) but for the rest- believe we ave been able to dish it out and take it equally for most part--and I certainly don't think Smurph is trouble maker--in fact he one of my favs .The only thing I have against political forum is its way to time consuming to look up all the data--I keep telling myself to pull back--but as you say-I'm an addict
