This reminds me of something I have to deal with.

i`m surprised that people that don`t live on major thoroughfares don`t back into their driveways....makes it one helluva lot easier leaving in the morning....i don`t think i`ve ever pulled straight into my driveway....

different strokes,i guess...

That's what I thought but when you study the pic you can see how it would be a pain in the ass esp if there were cars on both side of street... terrible design.

Luckily there is no on street parking on my block because I live within feet of a school zone. Normally during the school year I do back into my driveway and into my garage because trying to back out with school traffic can take forever and it isn't worth getting into an accident. Right now I have been driving straight in because even though there is no school traffic there is a town wide detour coming down my street because they are redoing our Main Street. So from March to November all the traffic is detoured in front of my house and stopping to back in is hazardous. Surprisingly backing out in the am hasn't been as bad as I thought I would be. Although as soon as school starts again I will have to make traffic stop so I can once again back in because it will be twice as bad in the am with school and detour traffic. The school is four houses away and I will not let my kids walk to school because of traffic. Reading that article I can only guess he is unable to back into a tight space like the garage and I think he is in the wrong. The fact that the car has been parking there for three years he has to know who it belongs to so why not just speak to that person instead of blowing up the neighborhood. Apparently other people don't have an issue with it.

Where it is real F ing COLD
My nearest neighbor is half a mile away. I might not see a car drive by for hours, until late night, my road is a short cut to 3 county bars, so the drunks can avoid the highway. Never know how many go in the ditch in a year especially winter
