I bet over 80% of cops, maybe more, go their entire career without drawing their gun.

On the course!
I don't think that's the norm. Maybe in the big cities it's a rough line of undesirable work but most places are not like what you see on the news. These instances are pretty rare if you consider how many cops are employed in this country. That's my 'off the top' thought but I could be wrong.

EVERY stop can turn out just like the one on that video.

You are exactly correct when you said most cops won't ever draw their weapon. BUT they have their hand on it EVERY SINGLE STOP! Can you imagine that? Is this the guy who doesn't want to go back to prison? Is this the guy who just killed his family up the road?

There are hundreds of clips on Youtube where cops get shot on "routine" stops.

"Is it my turn today?" Very few people have to ask that question when they head into work.

I feel that not too far down the road, you will see that being a police officer isn't a very coveted job in this country, and it will be hard to fill the job.

American police shoot a lot of people, about 1,000 per year, or three per day, according to a reliable tally from news reports kept by the Facebook page ?Killed by Cops.? The US Department of Justice, using incomplete and self-reported data from police departments, puts the number at about 400 a year, the vast majority of which are deemed justifiable. The numbers of police shootings have been rising in the last 20 years, from 1.92 justified police homicides per 10,000 violent crimes in 1991 to 3.35 such incidents per 10,000 crimes in 2011.

soon we will have robots doing the police work and not have to deal with cop ego
anymore.

they will be polite and reasonable and if you shoot them they will handle it then
with a bad outcome
