Speaking of the weather.... :mj22:

I know grunts to CIA ops over there- feel sorry for the grunts- (the modern day draftee.) The latter enjoy this shit. Is anyone against the troops? F- no. That doesn't change the fact that the whole Iraq debacle needs to end ASAP. IMO, if you want to support them, write your reps and encourage a logical plan to get the f out of there ASAP before your brother, nephew, cousin, or friend comes home in a box. Apparently Bush missed his History class. I'm not even making reference to our most recent blunderous civil war intrusion- Vietnam. Look @ the downfall of the British Empire. Their military was dessimated during the conflict that turned Mesopotamia into modern day Iraq. If you think we can organize or create a harmonious democratic state between feuding sects (who have been feuding for 3000 years) you are a fool. I wonder why Sadaam Hussein ruled w/an Iron Fist?? Hmmmm. I certainly cannot support any of the numerous atrocities that he instigated, but there are certainly many Dictators around the world w/more blood on their hands- but they didn't put a "hit" out on our Kings (GB I) father and they don't happen to be sitting on one of the worlds last known largest oil reserves. After all we were the ones that financed/supported Sadaam's rise to power and armed his regime from the beginning.

It seems like it would make more sense to allow things to play out. We don't need to intervene into everyones business. This country was created in response to govt. intervention. Hell, we masacred the natives americans (Kurds.) Mind your own business. If anyone f's w/us- give it back x 10. Otherwise we should try not to piss the world off. We have enough issues here. History tells us that nobody has remained on top for too long. I think we're better off helping weaker nations rather than manipulating elections and bombing them.

We don't need to be having 19 yr old kids getting blown up as we hemorage billions. The original concept sounded like a great plan on paper:

"Let's take this opportunity to invade Iraq, overthrow Saddam and gain control of the largest oil reserves on Earth. The people want revenge and Iraq is in the Middle East- their stupid. Let's use the ol' WMD threat. This should be easy. We'll call it operation "Shock and Ahhh"....Mission Accomplished."

"Hey Dick, what do we do now? We just devastated their entire infrastructure. The Iraqi military threat is over."

"No worries. Victory GWB. I know a company that can rebuild this nation efficiently- Haliburton. No worries. I'm already one step ahead of you GWB. The govt. will be installed and the pipelines will be flowin' just like I told you."
