You have to listen closely, but about 40 seconds into this audio, in the background you can hear Gates identify himself, then insist that it's his house. The clip is short and the sound quality's not the greatest, but it hardly sounds like "tumultuous behavior" coming from the 5' 6" 58 year old university professor.

"the bunker"
you really are a boot licking asshole, gw.

I have been arrested on my land for nothing other then responding to an asshole dipship cop (some little dickwad that we all fucked with in highschool because he was, and is, a tool like you)

I called Harry Shorstein's (the current state atty then in fla) son's friend and it was thrown out.

I was lucky and I am sure that most are thrown out. But some result in peoples lives being severely impacted.

The idea that grown up patrol boys can arrest any citizen at anytime for anything is disgusting and absurd.

Keep selling out you little boot licking puss.

who`s surprised, with your anger management issues, that you`ve been arrested for acting like a dickslap?......

i don`t know wtf happened in this society over the years....whether it`s the educational system, the media or just extremely poor parenting that has brought us to the point that obeying a police officer`s commands makes a person a "boot licker"...

just to clarify, crowley was hand-picked by an african-american police commish to teach a class on how to avoid/diminish racial profiling.....

gates is a professor who does just the opposite of crowley's job in wacademia........the guy has a chip on his shoulder the size of the louisiana purchase....just check out the quotes and video on the internet...

the guy`s obsessed with race...it`s how he makes his living..

if i were the cop, nothing short of a straight forward public apology would make me even consider being in the same room ,much less have a beer with obama or gates(without witnesses)...

Yeah, no racial issues with the Boston Police department at all... and no truth issues with them either... :SIB Be careful what you subscribe to until you know for sure. I don't know for sure what went on there, but to completely believe either side without knowing is not a good way to proceed, I don't think. And now this:

Boston cop calls Gates 'jungle monkey' in mass e-mail

A Boston police officer has been suspended and likely will be fired after sending an anonymous email that referred to Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. as a "jungle monkey."

According to the Boston Herald, 36-year-old Officer Justin Barrett was placed "on administrative leave pending a termination hearing yesterday afternoon. When a supervisor confronted Barrett about the e-mail - in which he called Gates a 'jungle monkey' - he admitted to being the author."

ABC affiliate WCVB reports that Barrett sent the email to colleagues at the National Guard -- he is also a reserve soldier in the Guard -- and to the Boston Globe. Police traced the email back to Barrett on Tuesday. As of the writing of this report, the Globe has not run a story confirming this.

Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis "immediately stripped the cop of his gun and badge," the Herald reported Wednesday.

Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr., was arrested on the front porch of his own home on a public disturbance charge July 16 in an incident where a police officer suspected the Harvard scholar of being a burglar after Gates jimmied his way in. Gates says he was a victim of racial profiling. Charges against him were quickly dropped.

The incident became an even larger controversy when President Barack Obama said last week that the Cambridge police had "acted stupidly" in arresting Gates. And most recently, the neighbor of Gates whose 911 call started the incident said she never mentioned that the two persons on Gates's porch were black, and didn't talk to the arresting officer, Sgt. James Crowley, at the scene.

Both of those claims contradict Sgt. Crowley's police report on the incident.

3 amigos get suds; she gets scorn

By ROGER SIMON | 7/30/09 4:31 AM EDT

POLITICO 44

She will not get a beer with the boys. Lucia Whalen has not been invited to the White House.

The three amigos ? Henry Louis Gates Jr., James Crowley and Barack Obama ? will throw back some cold ones on the South Lawn on Thursday as the whole world watches this ?teachable moment? on race in America.

And they deserve a drink. They have been through so much! How they have suffered!

In reality, only Whalen, the woman who called 911 on July 16 to report a possible break-in at the Cambridge, Mass., home of Gates, acted responsibly from beginning to end in this whole affair.

And she doesn?t even get a free drink out of it.

Instead, she has been reviled. She has been scorned. She was pilloried in the mainstream media and abused in the blogosphere. ?Whites like Lucia have bigotry programmed into them,? one Cambridge blogger wrote. ?Her description of the two black males is just so, so bigoted. Not only that, it could have led to people getting shot unnecessarily.?

Facts? Truth? We don?t need no stinkin? facts! And the truth is too slow! In this age of instant communication, we must publish conclusions first ? no matter how hurtful or how dangerous ? and then let the truth catch up.

In fact, Whalen did not describe ?two black males? breaking into a house. She volunteered no racial description at all when she called. (When she was then asked by a police dispatcher to describe the two men, Whalen said ?one looked kind of Hispanic, but I?m not really sure.?) Whalen didn?t even say the two men were trying to break into the house.

Here, from the actual 911 tape, is what she said: ?I don?t know what?s happening. I don?t know if they live there and they just had a hard time with their key, but I did notice they had to use their shoulders to try to barge in.?

It was a proper call. It was the call of a good and responsible citizen. And the police showed up, which is what they are supposed to do.

After that, guys began behaving badly.

You can make a pretty good case that Gates, Crowley and Obama all acted hastily and regrettably. Gates, returning home with a head cold after a 20-hour flight from China, reacted angrily to being confronted in his own house by a police officer. Crowley overreacted by arresting Gates on a bogus disorderly conduct charge. And Obama, who had the most time to think about his actions and is, after all, the president of the United States, admitted he lacked all the facts but, nonetheless, publicly accused the Cambridge police of acting ?stupidly.?

So who is the one person who acted properly in all of this? Lucia Whalen.

Her reward? ?People called me racist and said I caused all the turmoil that flowed, and some even said threatening things that made me fear for my safety,? Whalen said Wednesday.

Whalen said she ?tried to be careful and honest? with her wording when she called 911.

But some say she should not have called at all. Some say she should have shut up and saved herself the headache and heartache that followed. This is what a smart person would have done.

But Whalen decided to be a good citizen and not a smart one.

Wednesday, she was asked if she would make the call again today.

?I have had much reflection on that,? Whalen said, ?and, yes, I would make the call.?

That is a teachable moment.

And somebody owes her a beer.

GW, do I have to come to your work place (that's if you could hold down a job) and slap the dick out of your mouth before you see the stupidity in your posts. Ether you really come from a family of retards, or you're the head of one, I pity your half witted offspring and the cum-dumpster you're married to.
