sometimes I like to stoke the fire just to get a rise out of everyone, like today in the NFL thread, everyone is piling on and I am laughing my ass off at the comments, I like the attention :shrug:

I have tried to make this point before and then I realized that my efforts were pointless and here is why. I was arguing the wrong point and I think you are doing the same.
What I don't like is the trolling. People take it as if you are defending someone they don't particularly care for, when I was more or less saying that the stalking and trolling gets old. I get tired as hell of it. Every time they post, it's the same old shit over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It really has nothing to do with Hedge, I just get sick of the same tired old bullshit. Not only that, by doing it, they are promoting it as acceptable behaviour. I have noticed an increase of the trolling bullshit lately. I don't know what the point is really. It's a waste of time and effort and kills my buzz. If you don't like someone, just fucking insult them, call them a few names and move the fuck on. A good example of this would be, and this is just off the top of my head, I don't know this to be true for sure, but I would hazard to guess that Cie Grant and ImFeklhr are two popular posters here and for good reason. I don't believe that either one of them particularly "like" Hedgie's posts and persona on here. I don't know that they dislike him either but I am just guessing here. I have read enough of both of their posts to form an opinion. I don't see ImFeklhr blowing him up every time he posts, I have seen Cie get on him before but it isn't constant. If anyone needs to understand any of this it's that not everyone is enjoying the constant bickering and badgering It gets very fucking old and makes you not even want to click on shit anymore. Drives me fucking nuts.

fdc, here`s my point...we all have disagreements...if you`re on here long enough,you`ll inevitably say something that ticks somebody off or they find disagreeable..apparently,sometimes it`s a chronic condition.....we all have philosophical and political disagreements....

we used to have some decent arguments in political(when it was a little more civil),but aside from one or two guys(i forget the one guy`s name..it was the guy that used to get a woody when dead troops came home in body bags),most of the saner of us remained pretty friendly or at least relatively civil on the site....stevie d/chadman/smurph/mr christo/kosar......even spongy...he and i fought but i`ve always had a soft spot for him.....we beat each other up badly....but we didn`t follow each other around with a broken broom handle and barbed wire....certainly not constantly.......

most of us might make a comment or two....have a minor shinkick or even a major shinkick..be opinionated on a controversial topic....but we don`t make it a jihad with the purpose of grinding a guy into dust...most don`t follow people around 24/7 like a bad smell because of some perceived internet slight or a philosophical disagreement..it`s the fricking internet fer crying out loud..:facepalm: ..

justifying your cruelty because you`re "re-educating" some poor bastard through hectoring and humiliation?......people going back years to try and search out old posts to use against their personal punching bag?...seriously?....

i honestly think we have a few with severe narcissistic disorders(sorry if i offended)... constant verbal attacks,psychological abuse and their version of "brutal honesty"(lol,that`s rich) to try and impose their brand of sick justice on the offender....

anybody think this kind of obsessiveness manifests itself in a vacuum?....you can only imagine what goes on behind closed doors..my sincerest condolences...

i come on here to have fun(and i do as my post count will attest...thanks, jack)....there are people that i don`t care for(not very many) and quite a few that don`t care for me(and i`m pretty sure that showing some empathy for the politically incorrect whipped dog ain`t winning me any converts...:lol.........and that`s fine...it`s the internet after all...i get that hedgy is a throwback and bugs the hell out of some folks..many folks.....but does anybody else really think that if he disappeared tomorrow that the same people wouldn`t find somebody else to torment and justify it every bit as vehemently?...

And Hedman, I wasn't even including you in that man and I am by no means saying that I don't like or have anything against any of the guys that, in my opinion, stalk the guy. I have met Poon personally and he may be one of the nicest and funniest fucksticks on this place. I have nothing whatsoever against TU or you. Quite the opposite. If calling him out on a blatantly ignorant post is all that happened then we wouldn't be having this conversation, but that isn't it. I am talking about the "cupcakes" bullshit, the "fat" bullshit and all the other bullshit that isn't funny to anyone that I can tell. So the guy makes a post about gay football players and he wouldn't draft one?!?! The difference between hedgehog and other people is that hedgehog is a piece of shit, to the core. There are plenty of people that may be annoying or stroke their own egos and embellish stuff or try and stir the pot, like The Boys, but the difference is The Boys isn't a racist homophobic terrible person. I?ve used the following to explain my posts and I referenced it just last week when have a couple of beers with Hawkeye.

There?s a corner bar near my place that I like to go to a few times a week to have a couple brews and catch a game. This nice guy Derek owns it and is often there bartending and running the joint as he likes to keep his costs down. I sit at the bar and shoot the shit with him and other regulars when I go there.

There are a couple guys that stick out in my mind that are regulars. I would consider both of them acquaintances but not friends like some of the others I have got to know at the bar. One guy, Bruce, cheers for the exact opposite, the rivals, of all of my favorite teams. No matter what sport it is, we are always on opposite sides. It?s ok though, as we are content about it, we give each other a little grief here and there but nothing more than good natured ribbing. At the end of the day nothing is said that is over the top as no one has crossed any lines and we realize any potential disdain is merely from a rooting fan interest and nothing that is worth much.

There is another guy that gets under my skin though, his name is Rick. Rick is always coming into the bar being brash and loud about stuff that I consider it inappropriate. Whether it is a racially charged joke, stereotyping people because how they look if they have tattoos, bigoted statements against certain people?s sexual orientation or spouting off about how the government was behind a news story that involved innocent civilians dying because a crazed lunatic opened fire on them in a public place.

I will admit Rick isn?t necessarily directing his statements at me or towards me, but I find what he says offensive. I?m not going to sit there and listen to some guy spew hateful rhetoric that is narrow minded and shouldn?t be tolerated in our society. So even though he isn?t talking to me, I?ll pipe up that I think he is wrong for what he is stating and I?ll have choice words with him. If he stopped, I would stop, but every time he comes into the bar, he does the same thing. Often just telling a variation on the same racial joke he?s said before, or pointing to a new conspiracy theory when another public shooting takes place.

To put it simply I definitely have a disdain for Rick. I like Derek?s bar too much to stop going there, and honestly Derek is too busy running around taking care of the place to worry about little bickering that is going on whether it is between Bruce and I, or Rick and I.
