too big in my opinion, but I am looking into getting one that is meaningful and smaller (on outside of arm near shoulder)

Its OK. I am not a huge fan of grey scale myself, nor religious tattoos. Your views are always apt to change. Nothing worse than having something you no longer believe in staring you in the face as part of your body.

But tattoos are a GREAT form of personal expression.

since it's your first tatt, why don't u scale it down and just do a cross. If you want to add to it later, it shouldn't be too hard.

I kind of like the cross and the hand holding the candle, but rarely like script on a tattoo.

I know, i have never been a fan of them...but they have been growing on me lately.......

Dr, think long and hard before you make this commitment. I myself am not a tat guy:nono: . If you've never been a fan of them then why would you want to do something that is permanent? Just my 2 cents worth. Maybe it's because I'm an old fart and old school. Just trying to help. Look forward to meeting you at Jack's golf outing.

I have one, got it 15 years or so ago, it has not changed my life for better or worse.

Yes, it's permanent, so what? It's just there on my shoulder. It never helped my chances of getting laid and it never cost me a job interview.

It is what it is, no big deal.

they have tattoos that are applied with a special ink that is easily removed later on if you change your mind. google it. i read that somewhere. of course it's more expensive and the removal ain't cheap either but it can be done.
