How far back was that? Early 80's maybe. Remember Tom Clark77? I remember him and I met with the owner of Pinnacle at the Bismark in Chicago. Tom was good friends with him. He had this idea he wanted to run by me called the grand salami. Total runs for baseball. I said I hated the idea. Lord knows now I love the grand salami in any sport. It's been a lot of years man...

I remember all of them. Tom was an older Gentlemen and I believe I heard he passed away. I remember we went up to the penthouse to meet with the guy from Pinnacle as his daughter was getting married there, that day. Very cool guy and just smelled fricken wealthy. Everything about him but he was a very nice gentleman. Menace yeah, and the guy who stiffed everyone I'll private message you. Don't believe the boards should get that. Muskie as far as I knew was a decent capper. Just hated everyone who tooted their own horn....If you were good there though, you'd get noticed....

Steel & DaMan, I remember those guys you mentioned, TomOco lived in Chitown, he had a web page sorta like MJs, not as good, but very well respected none-the-less. Menace is still around and I'll almost guarantee you he probably frequents this board. CapJbird was a Vegas guy, not sure he's around anymore, also Alascott, Swaminator, Kicker2000, Merfmiles, Muskieman still has his web site up, not of the same caliber web page or keeps up with it like he used to. Frankie was another dandy. Another guy with screen name, Hoops something rather was very good at basketball, I think he still posts. And there was Dog1Cat2, only female capper I remember from the ol' AOL board days.

Memories!!

Thanks!!

I was BBYATSC originally, then changed my screen name to appropriately fit, LOL!!

The ol' days!! LOL, they ain't really changed, this board has cleaned up the trash and doesn't allow it to pester which is a huge job, we all have to commend IE & Jack for keeping this site, "REAL"!! :0008

I remember KingLuceb yes, haven't seen him cap in years and Unholycow, he was hilarious, Jack may know where he is these days if he's still with us. I think I spilt a beer or two reading his stuff because he was so funny in his write ups and most of it had nothing to do with the game he was capping!!

Smitty posted there, along with DaBomb, Rodney I can't remember his screen name though, Cajun Sports and his radio station.

Old times!! Good times back then!

Later!!

DaMan, when did Tom pass? How about Merfmiles? I remember his page with 5 unit to 1 unit plays, he was pretty consistent and very cordial in the day.

How about Thesul10?

DaBomb who Tom had on his page, how is he doing?

Thanks!

Keep nailing the man. I always enjoy your threads!!

You and Steel bring back good memories!

I was there and got banned from AOL

That's when I started this site, about a month later.

Nolan Dalla was there.

I usually hung out in a chatroom that we created daily. Prob 8-10 guys in there.

My username was Mdhas.

those were the days, I actually came to Vegas one time in the late 90's to meet CapJ and his sidekick "something" bird..I drove to Mesquite to meet them at a bar one night, we gambled (and lost---I think I was paying for a service of his back then---think modern day VIP Sports TV show)...

thanks for that trip down Amnesia Lane....

Jack, I remember you back then, I don't know why aol would ban you!! I have seen people banned for ridiculous reasons. It's all good!

I got banned by Kevin at the formerly known decent forum site that Bobby Bski had up, no one posts there anymore and for good reasons!

CapJbird was a classic, DrFeelgood, I remember him.

None of you have heard or seen DaBomb2000 or Thesul10, Merfmiles? I know Musky is still around, he's still got his message board around, not many followers.

How you (Jack & IE) have kept this amazing board going for all this time, is amazing and ya'll are the best.

Even some of the youngsters here may get a kick out of the ol' time posters, and some of them will never get! LOL

Take is E-z!

I had 2 profanity strikes again me from the Tyson/Holyfield fight. I had a big bet on Tyson and about a month later I got my 3rd strike for an off topic post. I was trying to get guys together for Super Bowl weekend in Vegas.

Completely banned from AOL. All my saved email addresses, gone. And all my time was spent on AOL so I was completely lost on the internet. I had a rough few weeks getting a footing away from there.

Sorry Jack for me hogging up this thread, I should have put in general forum with a new thred for ol' AOL Messageboard days, yeah, those days I remember and yeah, you couldn't say any profanity, and if you posted a link they'd ban you too! UGH!! Kevin was ILOVEESPN and he runs a service now, mostly football picks but he dabbles in other sports too. K9Fletcher was great on the horses.

I used to monitor the picks and put a run down record wise of every poster back then, Geno was one of the best and I ran and sponsored a Bowl Contest I paid for out of my pocket back then too, was kinda cool!

One day I will be back in Vegas, we'll have to hook up!

Ok, I'm done now, LOL!

Later!
