ecu (-6.5) 2 units. for me, this comes down to not believing ucf's defense is for real this year. I know, the numbers are certainly there again. but look at the terrible offenses they have faced:

Missouri (67)
Houston (63)
BYU (22 - this was stewart's second start)
Tulane (116)
temple (94)
UConn (123)
Tulsa (92)
smu (125 - worst in the country)
south florida (117)

and somehow UConn put up 37 on them.

so, keeping in mind that byu's offense is nowhere near as good with stewart, ucf has not played a single good offense this year. ecu? yeah, their offense is pretty good.

only thing keeping this from being a bigger play... from what I've seen, ecu has not played very well with a lead. they tend to let off the gas and let the other team hang around. maybe being senior night for carden and hardy, they will keep slinging it all over the field.

yeah, I don't know what to make of the total. I guess it's realistic. high for a ucf game and low for an ecu game. my first instinct was over, but ecu's defense has been ok in spots. they only allow 3.2 yards/carry.

things can change in the next hour, but I think I'm staying off that total.

wow. just saw the score. I gave up on this game after the false start on the punt. maybe a strange play to make someone finally give up on a game, but the befuddled look on ruffin's face was all I needed to see.

one of the main reasons I love the college game more than the nfl is that you can count on the kids to give effort. especially senior night. I remember my last home game as a senior, and I was more fired up than I've ever been. and I was a bench player on a really bad team. so i also did not expect this complete lack of effort from ecu.

on the bright side, i don't have to stay up late watching this damn game. so there's that.

but, yeah, hard to believe we are on the verge of bowl season again.

Amazing the attention the selection committee has gotten..Like you said NO ONE has talked about bowl games...Not sure I'm going to like this...lol
