couldn`t you say the same for :
blaine gobbert
ej manuel
matt barkley
Brandon weeden
geno smith
Charlie Whitehurst
Christian ponder

he actually took a 1-4 team over and got them into the playoffs...and won a playoff game....his career qb rating is better than some of these and worse than others...his career record as a starter is 8-6 and 1-1 in the playoffs....probably a good deal better than most of these guys...

at least he has some accomplishments he can point to...many of these other guys haven`t done squat....

yet you continually pick on tebow...why?...because he`s the easiest, most p.c. target?

"the bunker"
the devil made him do it

:mj07::mj07::mj07::mj07:

...no disputing he`s a lousy pro qb to tie your franchise`s aspirations to...but there are plenty of those populating nfl rosters that don`t catch half the hell this poor s.o.b. does..maybe a good career counselor would advise him to drop the charity work and religious schtick and just start taking drugs, bludgeon his wife or shoot himself in the leg in a public place........

According to reports, Timmy T, has been working on his throwing motion with some QB guru and he's improved his passing touch and he's always had arm strength, he just wasn't using his plant leg correctly? You wouldnah thunk while playing at Fla they would have worked with him on that and especially in Denver with Elway huh?

Amazing!!

I hope he does progress, now going to Philly and if he sticks, do you know how the Philly crowd is going to embrace him and Chip now?

WOW!

Chip will need an armored tank to get out of town if Philly fails to win a playoff game.

I hope he catches on somewhere with a decent team.
He's better than Sanchez, more durable than the statue known as Bradford.

He's a breath of fresh air in todays sport environment, just needs to keep religion at home.

I agree 100%. He brings great character, a winning attitude and a sense of drama. I'm excited as hell that he's in philly. Personally I wanted them to draft him. Joker was right, Hes better in the fourth qtr. If the game is on the line I want him in there. He seems to act more instinctual instead of focusing on planting this foot there and here. I could be wrong but I believe he boasts a winning record as a starting nfl qb.

This one move makes me excited to be an eagle fan again. And when they make the move for mariotta Ill be on board again. May have to rethink the outcome I had planned for the eagles this year...

These players are not hyped like Tebow. Hell even Christian Ponder made it 10 - 6 one season and a playoff appearance. Tebow might have made the playoffs but it was his defense getting him there. Much like the season Dilfer lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl victory;)

Are you people nuts? Some are thinking he is good and better in the 4th quarter? :mj07:Better than Sanchez? The guy sucks period, he can't even throw an out pass, he is worse than Christian Ponder for crying out loud. He can't throw an out pass and maybe you guys forgot all the ducks flying in the air on game day. The guy needs a soft schedule and a top 10 defense. There is a reason why the guy was not on a roster, this shows me that maybe Chip Kelly is more of an attention whore than I thought. Ever since Oregon and his spread he is always in the news and still in Philly he has to be in the news all the time. Bringing in Sanchez, making a big trade etc etc and all was quiet for a couple months so Kelly needed some more attention by bringin in Tebow. All you guys saying Tebow does it right and what a breath of fresh air. It's all a bunch of BS, I wouldn't want the guy on my team he is not a team player and quite frankly I wonder about his commitment to the game cause I think the guy could be one hell of a player just not at the QB position, but he won't help out his team by playing wherever necessary. Why won't he play tight end or H back? Kind of makes me think the kid is spoiled or fragile, imagine someone else with a dfferent background had done what Tebow did?, The media and fans would be all over that player. People can keep praising the guy but if he can't throw, this experiment at QB needs to be put to rest.

Did you watch his 4th quarter comebacks when he was with the broncos? Not saying he was great or better than anyone else he just played better than he normally does. One thing I do know is he knows how to win and Sanchez knows how to lose. Doesn't make home better just saying

[/QUOTE]
he played for the Jets? my point is there is a reason why 31 teams have passed on him especially with the poor qb play some teams have that he isn't playing. the teams, the scouts all can't be wrong, he won't make it in this league unless he is a tightend or h back.

I believe tebow played for the same team with different teammates when he looked horrendous. Maybe i just like the story...but tebow has done more in his career than many other 3rs stringers that never see a snap. Nobody on this site is a scout so to count him out completley is nuts to me. Why cant he learn? How to plant his foot or read defenses or whatever. I dont see it being out of the realm of possibility. One thing i do know for sure is hes in the top ten for IQs in the NFL and you wont catch him beating his wife/girfriend/kid/boyfriend or what ever his pleasure is. You wont find him drinking and driving or testing positive or marijuana. Sounds like a great poster boy for the nfl...i mean that is the direction their going in right. I think we all saw the commercials
