Took me less than 10 minutes at 8am. I voted for McCain despite his obvious limitations.

15 minutes for me, but get this...

They got rid of our nice voting machines, and we had to fill out these frikkin' Scantron gigantic forms to vote :mj07: No hanging chads possible, but really, why go to a paper form when we've been using nice paperless voting machines for years? :wtf:

any insight, Wayne???

Much better that way. There remains a paper trail.

With solely electronic it is way too easy to fix w/ a swap of a single chip in the machines that can be done in less that 7 mins.

I wish they would ban all electronic voting methods that dont include a hard copy of ones actual vote.

1 hour 55 minutes. I swear to God I think the polling station volunteers survived the Titanic...

The Founding Fathers are spinning in their graves.

One thing bad about our little red state communities--we don't get to view any real patriots :)

Among the Other Voters

CHICAGO, Ill. -- Among the other voters who have shown up to vote at Shoesmith Elementary School this morning, where Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., will vote: Louis Farrakhan and William Ayers.

Seriously.

Welcome to the South Side of Chicago.

What? Why are you calling me pt1gard? Does he share the same view?

Do you find something wrong w/ that logic?

All electronic is equally bad for both parties. Either one is capable of rigging them. Why wouldnt one want a hard copy?

Man the exact same thing happen to me. Never waited more then 10 minutes tops. Waited about an hour. What was great is there wasn't the same douchebags handing out literature and i would have been stuck with them for that hour. I was 168 and finished about 930. I voted for change. Never won one of these so we shall see. If i lose this time i think politics will be wiped from my brain. Maybe take up religion or sum shit like that. Never vote on this site with the poles so i will do that now. 0 for 2 or 2-0

Just went, seriously was the only person there. They told me it's been like that all day.

Question for those of you that have been in really long lines, how many polling places do you have in your town? We have five, for a pretty small suburban town. Just curious.
