We don't know if the winner only spent $5 though. It is possible to pick both sides of a game but be prepared to spend $. This is called *boxing*

To box 1 game, it is 2^1 = 2 * $5 = $10

To box 2 games, it is 2^2 = 4 * $5 = $20

To box 3 games, it is 2^3 = 8 * $5 = $40

Theoretically you can box 14 games but nobody in his/her right mind would do so. The amount of tickets you need to run is crazy and the loot you need to spend, well, let's just say the winners last week only get $2,500 and change each.

It was a 5 dollar wager, OLG released this info. Also the max you could wager on Card Number 45 was 80 dollars (box of 4 games), you can't box any more then 4 games on any OLG Pools list.

The lucky winner went 14 outta 14 on NFL Moneylines, that is super impressive:Yep:

Can you provide link to the article that OLG said it was a $5 wager amount?

I am not doubting you but I stand corrected. We do not know if the winner(s) (I use plurals because some players pool, pun intended, their resources together to play Pools) only spent $5 to win this or if he/she/they spent more money for other $5 tickets. Regardless, it is definitely one of the bigger Pools win so far in recent memory.

It is possible to box more than 4 games, you just don't know how. This is not a Proline forum so we will leave it at that.

You can not box more then 4 games on any Pools list. The max is 4 for 80 dollars. Of course you could do separate wagers on different bet slips and box em there, but that would just be stupid, so yes I know how.

And yes 1 winning ticket for $627,072. Was it shared with his or her dog walker or with his or her 2nd cousin? Did his or her grandma help with the selections and get a cut of the profit? Sorry don't have that info. Nor do I know if the winner did other parlays or if they bet two million dollars on every NFL game in Week 3. Perhaps the winner lost money and the $627,072 cut his or her losses down a bit for the week.

Also possible the one winning ticket was shared by every member of his or her family and his/her entire town, so I guess I should have said "one winning ticket held by at least one human being and ten thousand human beings".

That is very true indeed, I would guess it is in the Top 5 for sure.

Biggest payout was $874,857 ($708,295 US dollars) in December 2011. Not sure if it was a 5 dollar wager, 10 dollar wager or 20 dollar wager (at that time could only box 3 games). Now that is one hell of a profit:scared

Hitting 14/14 on the moneyline is easy. Let me see that person do it by the spread. :0003
