well, if 15 idiits pursue the same post-game storyline of seattle got screwed because the game was boring then that story MUST be true....right?
sure looked like roth got in to me.....and the ref who was running down the line to spot the ball was running on the goal line.....so the call on the field was a td.....did you see anything CONCLUSIVE to overturn that? NO.....ruling on the field stands.
what's so hard about this......i didnt see one completely botched call like the call in the steelers/colts game or the broncos/pats game.......
seattle was called for 7 penalties.......all of which were legit except for the penalty on hasselback DURING the runback of his int......
pit made 3 plays to win the game
seattle made 1, an int when pitt was going in to seal the game in the 3rd q
seattle butchered the clock both halves, butchered the entire 1q when pitt was totally out of sync and seattle had field position, butchered a basic running play that went for the longest td in super bowl history, steven butchered plenty of wide open passes, etc, etc, etc
why is this such a debate?
Yeah, you're right. Because usually after every SB journalists from all over the country write about how one team got screwed by the refs. Happens every year, right? As for Roth getting in, even he himself said on Letterman he didn't think he got in. I've seen the replay a ton of times and I don't see anything showing that he ever crossed the plane. I did, however, see the ref call him down and signal 4th down, then change his ruling at least 5 seconds after the play had been blown dead. I can understand doing that if there was a pile that needed to be uncovered, but Ben was lying on the ground with the ball visible. Why not rule it a TD immediately?
Wow. Seattle only made one good play all game huh? And it was the interception? They also had a TD, a TD that was nullified, a big punt return that was, of course, nullified, a catch down to the 1 that was, again, nullified... sense a theme here?
Nobody is arguing that they made mistakes but it's ridiculous to try and defend the refs. They were awful. You're fighting a losing battle here...
