Family does come first, but I hope he didn't "borrow" from the entries w/o recourse to pay out. Looks like he hasn't posted since very early May. I entered this contest and am sorry to hear about the problems.

Jack, I think I see hwat you are trying to do here, but don't.

This is Smash's problem. Don't even think of bailing him out! We entered knowing full well that we might not see any pay out. You are not responsible!

I was concerned about entering his contest, but I went ahead and sent him my $10 anyway. I didn't know he had not paid the winners, but had noticed he had become MIA.

You guys who know me, know I don't pull any punches. I honored my Super Bowl wager with him, and still carry that stupid quote for a few more weeks. (There was no way I would wager cash with a name on a forum!) But this guy always seemed like he was trying to make a buck off of the board members. Maybe he got his thumbs broken by some of his co-workers over his becoming a bookie?:shrug:

I aint the sharpest knife in the drawer either, but I know when something seems fishy. "Family illness" doesn't absolve you from your debts to others, and it takes two minutes to send a check to someone.

Face it..........he pulled a fast one.
