This just goes to show you how fucking stupid most people are. Some people like to think there is some conspiracy but in reality its just hard to employ people who aren't morons. I mean really how hard is it to see a fumble at the goal line and say to yourself that maybe I should see who gets the ball just in case? I mean I would just for the fact I don't want my name all over the news. I don't bet NFL games so I don't really care who wins the game but that is fucking joke. Then I hear an ESPN moron Clayton making excuses for the refs. Fuck them. If you can't do the job you should be fired. Those refs should be fired.

Rant over.

The referee that signaled touchdown originally cost Miami the game. If he makes the correct no call, then the refs have to unpile the scrum to see who recovered the ball. The ref signaled TD without seeing the ball break the plane of the goal line.

If, by chance, it actually was a TD, the replay would have shown that and there would be no controversy.

The ref that made the original call should be fired.

Another argument for having full time refs. If properly trained, he doesn't make that call because he didn't actually see it.

You guys are so critical of the refs its insane. It's easy to see the fumble, goaline, anything on your tv with hd and 500 replays, try making these calls fullspeed with players blocking your view. Cause the ref that signaled TD was blocked by another player and couldn't see the ball or fumble.

And just stop about the "fix" crap. :0002

Yea it was fixed, but that fix didn't help the player that laid the 3 points. I would venture to say that most come here or view here play through locals and might not have the option to play the ML, so in essence allowing them or fixing it for them to kick a FG didn't do a thing, those that had the Dolphins +3 did it cost you?

I had Pitt -3 so from my viewpoint it was a TD and called correctly the first time....:0corn

Oh to be a Dolphins fan this year

What's that now, 2 calls that have cost them 2 games at the last second. First that end zone incomplete pass in the first week or two, now this.. :mj07:

Refs are really sucking this year. Loved the call in Vikings game at the end, how the hell does the ref miss his foot coming down out of bounds. Are they even trying anymore.

This one's for you Jack, knowing the rules in the NFL is always a plus.

?
There must be a clear recovery by the defense in order to reverse to a touchback. If there is a pileup and you can't see who recovered the ball, or a long delay with players stopping before the ball is recovered, the offense retains possession.

Agree. However, the ref blew the call. That is how they got in that position. If the ref calls the play correctly, and he should have since he never saw the ball break the plane of the goal line, then the ball in loose and the refs have to sort out who recovered. Duh.
