Was remarking how tough Q&A was on fox debate--and just got finished seeing some of those at MSNBC Dem debate:)

When asked what their worse fault was--
Edwards-I care too much about the poor
Hilliary-I'm too impatient with for change
You got to be kidding me--

was almost as good good as Hiliarys reply on why she voted on some bill in 2001--
I voted for it--but hoped it didn't pass :scared
-WTF is that-by the way MSNBC must have that was plausible answer-went on without further ado

Hmm Too bad Kerry backed Obama--He and hilliary would have made great pair--I voted for it before I voted against it--well I voted for it but hoped it didn't pass.

Shame on me for missing these live--best thing since Saturday Night Live :mj07:

Agree a question that was not needed, means nothing. Do you wish to hear what Reb would say?

Along the lines of the current president, who when asked on 60 Minutes, if he had made any mistakes during his first term...said after reflection...that he couldn't think of any.

Can anything be more telling than that?

---and which mistakes were you referring to that he should have mentioned?

His biggest mistake in my view--not sure it came in 1st term was Medicare ** program.

Yes DJV would have been interesting what REBS said--we could weed out the blatant liars from the political BS *--Obama said his worst fault was cluttered desk-(disorganized)--which I give him credit for honesty.
Also didn't get any "didn't inhale" from him in his biography.:)

* on political BS by Rebs--
During Mich debate they were falling all over themselves to tell Mich (highest unemployment in U.S.) how they would make special point to bring back jobs to Mich. Yep until the the next state then it will be priority.
As Red Foxx said--when I was young I wanted to be a preacher-but was to crooked, later in life wanted to be politician-but wasn't crooked enough.

I'm sure my opinion of his mistakes, and yours, would be very different...but that wasn't really my point. My point was, what do you think of a person who can't think of ANY mistakes that they have made in the past four years? And if they can't think of one off the top of their head, would have the gall to say they don't know of any? Wouldn't you say that you surely have made some, but none jump to mind?

Most people would, I would say, except for those that are oblivious to sensible communication - or those that honestly think they make no mistakes at all.

And I certainly don't want the face of my country to have that opinion about himself - and it's not a stretch, if you look at his behavior for the past few years.

5ft, pin high......
You just hit a power chord with me.......

The level of the "debates" has been eroding in a logarithmic fashion since last summer. Back in the "pre-season", when the fourth estate wasn't keeping score, we got to hear some in-depth stances from the fringe candidates and serious contenders w/o alot of risk to their candidacies. Now that we've whittled the field, the statements have progressed to vague "talking points" and "catch-phrases" plus focused attacks on the leaders.

Exhibit A: The Economy.......everyone is running to the stimulus package in lieu of concrete strategies to address the causes of our problems in the first place. No real attempts at focusing on the budget deficit (trillions), or trade deficit, or dollar de-valuation, or the price of oil..........all the sources of why the avg to below avg earners cant afford a mortgage, a gallon of gas, or a gallon of milk. Instead, take their money and give a little cash back in 4 months to put it back into the economy to keep the economy going so there are more jobs so more people can work and make more money and buy more things.......:mj16: ......sounds dumb b/c it is dumb.

Exhibit B: Foreign Policy........its the "terrorists" or "Iran" or nothing here. No China......no Russia.....no India. These are the players at the table with the big stacks.........why waste all our time on the secular Middle East states with their short stacks, constantly pecking away at us while the others get stronger and more invested in their own futures while sneering at us and our hodge-podge, Little Boy Blue stratagems? Just playing to the lowest common denominator, I suppose:00x10
Exhibit C: Health Care......right outta the top 3 already? One little misunderstanding about Dr King's place in history, and now thats all we hear about? Right smack in the heart of the most important election for the future of this arm of society, we get sound-bites out of context and more Revs Al & Jesse than I think I can stomach. Our retirement years and the future of our children are at stake.......yes, a big part is making sure the indegent populus is taken care of, but most of the money goes to the aged, and that number is going to blow the fawk up soon. Where's that coming from and who's gonna take care of them? If the feds don't cover the bills, then there will be fewer hospitals, fewer beds in the ones that keep going, fewer jobs in the communities that lose them, fewer nurses, fewer doctors........the drain on the economy that is health-care extends further into the economic discussion than is talked about. As an example......I live in a extended suburban community of around 250K census.........health care THE #1 employer in the community! Not manufacturing, not service/retail, and certainly not professional.............3 hospitals, around 1250 beds total plus horizontal integration (clinics, nursing homes, rehab, outpatient surgery/physical therapy/psych & social support centers) covers 30-35% of the jobs. What if one has to close? :00x4

Unreal............there's not a topic on tv related to the election season these days that doesn't make me:00x25

Sorry.........its the coffee again:shrug:

Rant over.......Doc

Wayne:

I think 1) tens of thousands of seriously injured American soldiers, 2) nearly 4000 dead American soldiers, and 3) millions of dead, injured, limbless, and permanently scarred Iraqi men, women and children may take issue with Mr. Bush's thoughtful reflection on his administrations performance.

We have lwitnessed and ived through the most criminal administration in this country's history. The most dispicable part is that individuals in the opposition have done nothing to stop them. As a lawyer who took an oath to defend the Constitution and participate in one branch of the government, I should do much more than rail away on gambling forums. I too am responsible for not fighting these criminals.

Gary with the "effluvia" and the good Doctor with the "opacity". From the sound alone, it appears Gary has a female medical problem and the Doctor has a weight issue. English please for ambulance chasing lawyers.

Somehow I think history of any war has escaped you and the Spy clan.
Some time tune in to the history channel and watch those that put their ass on the line--and the elements/perils they had to contend with.
I have to assume those whose closest experience to war is playing battleship or stratego--look at spending combat tour in Iraq with regular toilets-return to barricks at night-showers-no opposing-aircraft-tanks-ships- no chance of entire camp being over ect ect- look at things in a diff light.
Life expectancy is far less in the the gang land ghetto a I've told you countless times--what about aids which is 95% preventable if you keep needles out of your arm-sit down and keep your mouth shut--55,391 in NY alone last year--

Would appear to me you and Spy might use your expertise in area your aquainted with -and 10 times the mortality factor of fighting a war.

You want to talk history and war? Glad too.

The Great War. Arms buildup with sides forming in Europe triggered by a relatively meaningless assination in Yugoslavia. US brought into the war due to treaties and relationship with England/France.

World War II. Japanese sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. 2 years after Britain and France at war with Germany, US joins forces.

Viet Nam. Supporting bs and crooked democracy which citizens did not back unless on the dole for stated reason of stopping spread of communism.

Iraq. wmd. no wait. freeing the people and establishing democracy. no wait. stopping terrorism. no wait. hell we've been there five years, we're a lame duck administration, and the people are more interested in K-Fed and Brit, Brit anyway, so we don't have to make up reasons anymore.

Although people have more chance of getting through to a rock than you, there are hundreds of thousands of dead people now due solely to the man who made no mistakes administration and Osama Bin Laden and his organization is still around.

What is it about that issue that you do not understand?

While you go on defending corporate America and the criminal puppets they put in place in DC, thousands die. The biggest lie is the soldiers go off to defend America in Iraq. They have been conned by people like you and those you support.

America's demise will not come from abroad but rather from within. For those of you that truly love this country, do your own due diligence and look at pre-war Germany in the 1930's. Look at whom the Nazi's targeted and how they achieved power. It is an eye opener.

As I was once labeled, I now return the favor. You are by far the worst America has to offer. And your ilk are the demise of this country. The erosion of personal freedoms you advocate will continue to destroy America.

Stop the takeover of this country by the corporations. Spending a combat tour in Iraq by the soldiers is defending corporate America. Sorry I go to Canada. I'm not losing my life for Warren Buffet or Bill Gates or that hillbilly from Texas.

The war was a joke. So was Viet Nam. History will show the THIS country was the aggressor the same way Japan was in 1941. The same way Germany was in 1939 when it invaded Poland.

This is what my America has become under people like you. A military police state. Yeah, I know about war and I don't have to be a combat troop to know about war.

I also know that the war has been very very good to Mr. Cheney, Haliburton, Blackwater and other entities that make your corporate America. I just happen to value human life over money.

God help us as long as people like you and the hypocritcal Christian right are in control.

Unbelievable. hundreds of thousands dead, Al Quida still alive and well, and the piece of crap says "no mistakes". Wayne, I'll put my ass on the line right now when I see the threat you and people of your ilk pose to this nation. You are a much greater threat than the Japaneese, Germans, North Vietnameese, North Koreans or even, Al Quida ever were.

The danger comes from within.

Edward, Edward,

You're far too pragmatic.

Lighten up.

If you would only invest in Petro China and Tsingtao Brewery Co. Ltd, you'd soon realize life is good.

.the stale old,"if you haven`t been in the military, you have no right to an opinion on the war" ....

of course,YOU`RE allowed to denigrate the war effort, the troops, whomever if you`re a leftist/communist/socialist/hippie still living in the 60`s who`s worst day in life was caused by your severely chafed vagina...

....... if this were the case, you could never call a policeman or a fireman without worrying that he might rebuff you......"you say you want me to put your fire out?...forget it...you should have joined the fire dept,bunky"......

very interesting edward, until the nausea sets in...

Who I walk with would be:

Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and King.

Real easy to take your postion with the flag, God and soldiers. Hard to look at the truth.

PS: And before anyone says it I know there first names are Lamont, Julius, Marquis, and Cornelius.

The truth is Edward-- You can fool those who can't see the obvious-with your pretense of affiliation with the grandeur of our forefathers.

I see you walking an enirely diff path--
-with those whose idea of american dream is hitting lottery or winning lawsuit in the mornings and those who can't logically seperate fact from fiction in the evenings--if you get my drift :)

Sorry to be so harsh--but when you start calling someone worst america has to offer--its time for your quarterly reality check.;)

Reality check belongs to those who own DC lawmakers so that the poor pay 30% interest when only several years ago that was usery and against the law. I guess thats less government huh wayne but yet we need laws that put caps on juries (more regulation) that protects corporate america. pretty consistent.

You walk arm in arm with Mitch Mcconnel, Tom Delay, Dick Cheney, Jack Abramoff. Thats the truth Wayne.
