you guys have RULES where you are?

we used to be permitted to put anything we wanted out there and they would take it.

NOWWWWWW.....

they provided us with a container that all trash must be put in and everything in that container must be put in trash bags, period. NO LOOSE SHIT!

anything not in that container will not be picked up, period.

you see. this fuking 'container' has a built-in bar on the side that the new trucks can pick it up without trash men. only a driver. if he can't drive up and grab the container with his automated bullshit, they ain't getting the trash, period.

sooooo, better make sure your "container" is sitting out there 'just right' or you're stuck another week with garbage. not to mention, the container doesn't hold enough for a family of 5!

of course, if you need an extra container, you can purchase one.

The company I use hasn't gotten to that point... yet. They won't take any large objects though. Twice a year the city has a "heavy trash pickup" and if you call them they will get whatever you put out front. That is what the people from Shelby and Henry County don't drive around and pick up for themselves first!

They're pretty good around here. You can put stuff on the side and the driver will get out and handle it. Getting expensive though $32 a month.

NOW, it's once every two weeks, and on alternating weeks they only pick-up recyclables.

Funny you mention this. I almost got in a fight with the people who pick up the cans and bottles last week. I put the barrels out and saw them take the stuff. There were a few broken beer bottles in them. The turd emptied it and put the barrel upside down. I could understand why. Maybe so they know it was already done. Anyway I hear broken glass fall out. I asked him why he did that. he said they were instructed to. Ok, I get it. I pick up the barrel and I kid you not there were 3 beer cans, a jar of baby food, and broken glass under the barrel. I flipped out. The idiot told me if the glass is broken I should put it in a bag. I told him he is a moron for not emptying the barrel all the way because if he did the can, baby food, and glass wouldn't be there. I kicked the cans and the babyfood jar and the street and he picked it up. The confrontation soon ended. I was going to call the city but never got around to it.

Yep, I have rules. My wife decided to have a party and broke some rules tonight. Pisses me off.

1st rule: Nobody touches my expensive shit in my liquor cabinet. I have a bottle of Patron special reserve tequila that's $100+ when I bought it a few years ago.

I get home and it's half gone. I don't mind if anybody touches the Cap morgans, Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker, Cuervo tequila, Grand Marnier, Kahlua, Baileys, Grey goose, etc. However, I have a few expensive items in there I don't want touched.

Her response, "Who cares, just go buy a new one."

Man I'm pissed right now.

for 16 years, in Accident, Md, we had NO trash pickup. we had to BUY a sticker every year for the privilege to take our trash to the dump. i went once a week :shrug:
