Trent Richardson is hanging out by the malt shop in Tuscaloosa in case anybody wants to sign him.

cost the Raiders $600,000 to see in person what the Browns and Colts had already seen and paid for..

Give the guy credit...he got every damn ounce out of that cup of coffee stop.

Richardson was waived by the Indianapolis Colts in March and signed by the Raiders to a one-year deal. The Raiders guaranteed the Alabama product $600,000:0071, but he was so unimpressive in the preseason that they are letting him go. Richardson gained 42 yards on 15 preseason carries for a 2.8 yards per carry average. He also had this terrible play.

Richardson was eventually selected third overall by the Cleveland Browns, after they had traded picks with the Minnesota Vikings to select him ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Richardson was the highest selected running back since Reggie Bush went second overall in 2006. The Browns had not selected a running back in the first round since William Green in 2002. On July 23, Richardson and the Cleveland Browns agreed to a four-year,:0071$20.4 million contract (fully guaranteed) with a $13.3 million signing bonus.[SUP][41][42][/SUP]:0071

kudos to old school for remembering this thread....(remind me not to get on your bad side:lol::toast:)

well, turns out the guy was a flat out bust and the browns knew it after just one year(950 yards at 3.5 ypc was actually a career year for Richardson).......credit the browns for spotting the mistake and trying to make it right at the colts` expense.....

unfortunately, regardless of the fact that the trade was a flat out robbery, they still can`t seem to right the ship(while the colt train continues on down the tracks)....

hopefully Richardson took advantage of the scholarship and got an actual education.....

g.l. going forward,trent...

I know, I can't phathom for the life of me how this guy got drafted so high and how he was successful in college and in the pro game he looks like he forgot how to play football. No drive or quickness and he's still in his early 20's.

He was supposed to be better than Mark Ingram? WOW!
