Just heard on the police scanner in my hometown.......

A man stole a car at GNC Nutrition. The owner called the police and they came and filled out a report. While they were filling out the report, a man drove the stolen truck back into the parking lot. Dumbfounded, the owner and the police officer greeted the man who said pointed at a completely different truck in the parking lot. "That is my truck. I took the wrong one by accident."

The officer confirmed it when the man said he had left his keys in the ignition - as did the man with the stolen truck.

I almost did that once at a gas station last year. Car with same make/model/color as mine, and it was parked right next to mine. Wasn't until I got in and was sitting down and noticed a kid's car seat in the back that I was like WTF?? Quickly got out and then got in mine without anyone else noticing.

Luckily when I did that it didn't get reported. She got a free oil change and rotate out of it though. :facepalm:

Last fall I was at the local Plaza and had my wifes Jeep, I never drive it......We go into TJ Maxx shopping I get bored grab her keys and head for the car.....I get in sit and wait for my wife to come out.....She comes out walks right by the Jeep so I honk the horn at her.....She start laughing, "What are you doing, that's not my car"......:facepalm:
