I don't know what your hang up is with southerners is bro but it seems to me that you asked a bunch of questions that do nothing more than prove that southerners are cultured, intelligent and bear a lifestyle that is filled with small and inexpensive pleasures. Just because you don't know the answers or don't agree with a lifestyle doesn't give you the right to slam it. Of course we don't have Haggass or whatever the heck it is down here nor muddy dirty snow or smartass pittsburghians either for that matter, enjoy your three months of summer, take a swim in the allegheny or something. There are two different kinds of southerners...and dont get me wrong, I like em both. I have lots of friends all over the south.

There are your southerners from NC, SC, GA, Alabama, etc..

Then there are southerners from texas, New mexico, etc...

fdc, i'm the first kind of southerner, the kind that knows the answer to just about every one of the questions on buddy's list right off the top of my head. and like most of my friends, true southerners all, i'm kinda pleased with that fact as opposed to being upset. it's just how we are.

Anybody that is from up North is a Yankee!

There is no point in even arguing or finger pointing at people............There are things that Northern people intuitively know because they are from the North! There are things that I know becasue I live in the South! And we are each misinformed of each others cultures..........But That makes me nor a Yankee any better or worse than another! I don't know nor do I give a shit what haggis is or is made of.........I like Grits! If that is a problem to anybody then they obviously have other issues other than what the hell it is that we PROUD Southern Folks like to eat! Always consider the source of the comments! I am PROUD to be from the South.......I am sure pride fuels each and every one of us here in regards to our Culture! Notice that only the people that are not familiar with a certain culture are the ones that like to point out its "oddness"! While the ones that give what we have down south a little chance and actually try it find out that they love what we have to offer below the Mason Dixon! I had some people visit me from the north that had no idea what it meant to be a southerner but when they left the great south they were bound and determined to come back and visit and loved every cotton pickin minute of the things that were once so unfamiliar to them! They have now been edumacated! Now if I could just make every Yankee see the light then this would be a better place!


The South is rich in heritage and culture, to some our culture and heritage is strange, but none the less it is ours and we will fight at the drop of a hat when someone threatens it or pokes fun at it! Take warning and watch your self when you make fun of a Southern Boy becasue we will take your ass down a peg or two for making fun of what we love.............So I would not do it in person, the internet is still safe!

I iron "man" it everyday but my jeans come out of the drier and into my closet no ironing at all.

I brought my suit pants into the Lone Star cleaners and asked for light starch. I picked them up yesterday and had to lay them in the bed of my truck because I couldn't get them throught the damn door of the vehicle. Can slice a friggin sandwich with the damn things.

I have noticed that the closer you get to the Eastern part of the state the longer peoples toenails are......I think it is so they can run up the sides of the red clay banks in the crick. Stuff is slippery.
