as the half nears I am leaning towards the nets they are shooting 36% and the Lakers are at 51%.

I think the nets can pull this game out and win it outright if they begin to shoot better.

any other thoughts

I was getting redy for bed and the freakin' phone rang. My man in Reno called to tel me the Pups had taken the lead. I nearly crapped my pants. I just put the game on, and now it says Pups are up by 8! What in the frick happened????????????

Or, am I dreaming?

PS -- I played this for a five spot, so this is a dime swing.

I guess the refs actually did the TWolves a favor and woke them up. Regardless, Payton should not be playing at all.

Going under in the Laker game. With an eight pt lead, they'll keep working the triangle offense and let Shaq control the game. Only 38 shots were put up by the Lakers, and I don't see much change.

Oh, Nolan. Had you stayed around and watched the game, you probably would have had another article up tomorrow about the lack of integrity of the refs in the NBA. But looks like it did more good to the Wolves than the Sonics so far.

Dubs,

I just saw the halftime report. Why wasn't Payton ejected? Incredible.

Looking at hedging here with the Sonics in 2H. They are -5. I figure it lok to be a good hedge play with MINNE already on the game at +1. Does anyone see the Wolves running away here in the 2H?

No play yet, pending feedback.

Line looks fishy to me. . . Sonics only favored by half a point. . . seems like the books are looking for Sonic money.

The reason the Lakes are shooting 51% is that shaq is 11-13. The rest of the team cant throw the ball in the ocean. but can jersey just find a way to slow shaq down? i'm guessing they can. Make the rest of the team beat you (which is an easier task with no Bryant) I'll take jersey +1.5 for 2 units.

Also think they'll keep plodding along.......95.5 under
for 2.

game 1-1.........-0.2 units

tonight 1-1.........+3.8 units

Nolan, you can lip-read that Payton was saying to the ref "that's my 2nd technical" twice, and then another ref comes up to the one who called the technical, after a short discussion the technical was lifted and Sonics get a tech FT instead of double technical. It was an outrage. Payton talked the refs into keeping him in the game.

I'm sitting on Minny+1, thanks to you. Saw a graphics during the game the Minny is 21-9 when their bench scores 25+. They've already surpassed that. So I'll sit on the original wager. No feel for the total, either. It's under or no play for me, but not gonna force a play.

Heels not unusual at all just means the book has more coin coming in on Minny 2nd half.

If you've listened to Marv, you'll know by now that Peeler shoots lights out against Seattle. Therefore, don't assume he will cool off. however, I think Seattle's play will even out and don't expect Peeler to put another 20....maybe 12-15. I'll take Seattle -.5 for 2 units.

i think the 10pt. second for Seattle is a serious abberation. McMillen is a good coach. he'll get em straightened out........looking for both teams to reach the 25pt. mark in each quarter. over 97 for 2 units.

game 1-1........-0.2 units

for the night 10-7........+3.6 units

thats what I thought too but right before they put that extra vig on that half point the line jumped up to minn +1

and refreshed it immediately and it went back down.
either someone pounded that line at +1 or its a fishy line?

whatta think

the payton deal was totally bogus. Payton talked them out of it. It was about as bad as Dickau's dive last night. Maybe Payton being on a short leash has affected his play.

Thanks for the feedback...passing on the hedge play........looking for MINNE to pull away in 2H and hold on.

Antonio -- I tend to like the OVER in the 2H. IN fact I made it a small play.

OVER 96 (2H)
