Even with Cole on the mound? We haven't fared too well in his recent outings. Meanwhile, Gallardo has been pretty good in his last few outings including 7 scoreless innings against the Pirates.

I hope you get the win here as I'll be rooting for the Pirates, but the home dog sure looks tempting.

They could, conceivably lose them all, still make the one-game wild card playoff and lose that as well.

MLB counts the one-game wild card as a play-in game and COUNTS it in the regular season record.

It is possible, no matter how unlikely, that they COULD finish 81-82 officially.
