I can't believe people are already jumping on the Yanks bandwagon. Hasn't anyone learned a lesson from the last couple years. I feel strongly that Minny +175 to win the series is the play. Give me Santana and a team that is used to be in the spotlight and knows how to win and I'll lay a nickel on the Twins for the series. Good luck to everyone. Yanks pitching will continue to get hammered in the postseason, and with the odds where they are, I feel the value in making a big twins play is very high.

Alright I'm going to play devil's advocate --- the Twins go out of the first round every year - they have not shown any signs of being able to win in the playoffs. No one can argue that the Yankee lineup is far superior to the the Twins, and I don't think the Twins staff is better than the Yankees either. Santana is the best pitcher of them all, but after that it really evens out to me. Is Radke on the road better or worse than Lieber at home? I think that's a toss up. Same goes for Brown vs Silva and Vasquez vs Lohse. Finally Yanks are 21-3 last 24 vs the Twins. And of course the Yankees bullpen is pretty solid for innings 8 and 9. If the Twins needed 24 games to get 3 wins vs the Yanks over that span, what makes you think they can get 3 wins over five games?

Not attacking your play -- but just wanted to answer your question in the subject title. I think it's becoming chic to bash the Yankee staff, which is justified, but I do not think the Twins are the team that are capable of knocking them off the mountain.

that is exactly the reason why i cant play minnesota in this series. as dominant as santana is, minnesota just cant beat this team. hell, you could tell me santana will pitch 2 no-hitters in his starts in this series and i still dont have enough confidence in minny to steal 1 of the other 3. theyre a good team, just not against new york.

I still like the value I get betting the Twins. I guess the line is only +155, but obviously I am relying on Santana to win game one. That would leave me with the twins needed only 2 out of 4 to clinch, with 2 of those being played in the dome. I'll take my chances with those odds. I have seen it happen many times before, the yanks are always the favorites but simply don't have the starting pitching to hold down the fort.

I hear you. Seems like you look at the Twins a lot like I do the Dodgers this year. I think the LA line value is tremdous, but still in my heart of hearts don't know if they will win this series. I love the prices, but hate placing a wager that I'm not very confident will win. That's what makes these series prices so tricky, and why I'm most likely going to stick to the single game plays.

Best of luck to you.
