When you reward non productive at expense of productive--you create an adverse environment.
This seems to be the mantra of the conservative, when everything is peeled back. Claiming that those who do not make a lot of money, are unproductive, and those that do make a lot of money are productive. There are plenty of things to discuss on this issue, but not really what I want to ask. My question is...can you give some examples of higher income earners - the real high earners that pay the highest tax rate - and how they have been hindered by that? I know you know of the countless articles talking about these very people holding and increasing their wealth over the past few years, during these tax times. I submit to you, that the tax environment that they live in allows them to make more and more money, which should be the real issue. They have the ability to make more money BECAUSE of what taxes pay for, and the system they work in.
How can anyone say with a straight face that the current tax system is a hindrance to those at high income levels? If it were a real hindrance, then people would not be making an increasing percentage of pie, would they?
I also find it an interesting play on words that any discussion of a repeal of tax cuts means that democrats are trying to raise taxes. There are two ways to look at that, as you know.
And again...sticking to tax cuts at a time when our country is at war, oue debt level is at never before seen levels, is unheard of in our history. Further proof, at least in my mind, what this administration is all about.
